LSP is deciphered - “little stupid pig” (from English little stupid pig), this name seems very strange for a rapper. There is no flashy pseudonym or fancy name here.
Belarusian rapper Oleg Savchenko does not need them. He is already one of the most popular hip-hop artists not only in Russia, but also in the CIS countries.
Childhood and youth of Oleg Savchenko
The musician was born in the city of Vitebsk, which is located in Belarus. From an early age, Oleg was interested in music.
As a child, his attention was attracted by pop, in adolescence - rock, and a little later, rap. The first performer that Oleg remembered was Timati.
The guy saw his performance at the Star Factory-4 project and was very surprised, is rap really openly performed on the stage? Young Oleg immediately had the idea to do hip-hop.
Parents always supported their son, they even hired him a piano teacher.
However, then Oleg did not even suspect that he would connect his life with music, especially considering the fact that he studied at the Minsk State Linguistic University with a degree in "Teacher". But the diploma was not useful to the guy in life.
When Oleg was 18 years old, he wrote down his first work and called it "I understand everything!". Of course, one should not expect that the first work of an inexperienced musician will cause a sensation. However, she gave Oleg his pseudonym LSP.
What does the pseudonym LSP mean?
There is no clear answer to this survey. The most common version is the "stupid little pig". However, in different interviews, Oleg expressed different assumptions.
He himself admitted that this question simply does not make sense for him, and most often the musician simply ignores him or laughs it off. So, in some interviews, Savchenko spoke about such versions of the origin of his creative pseudonym:
- "A ray is stronger than a bullet." The history of this acronym is very interesting. For 10 years in a row, Oleg looked out the same window at school. Once it seemed to him that the sun was talking to him, but the guy did not understand anything. But rather symbolic words remained in my head.
- In the next interview, Savchenko denied the version "A ray is stronger than a bullet." He said that the real meaning is very vulgar.
- On Blaise's on the Couch, LSP revealed that the closest option for him right now is Loving Heart Boy.
- This was followed by an even more amusing decoding: "Better ask later." Probably, this was a hint to all those who tirelessly asked Oleg about his pseudonym.
- Also in some tracks of the artist there are references to possible interpretations. For example, the song "Money is not a problem" from the album Tragic City contains the line: "LSP, you better sing a song. About love, the most truthful (what?)”.
Continuation of the solo career of LSP
LSP's next album was Here We Come Again. Oleg still worked alone, but periodically collaborated with some Russian rappers, among whom were: Oxxxymiron, Pharaoh, Yanix and Big Russian Boss.
Together with Deech and Maxie Flow, Oleg released the album "Without Appeals". Soon he returned to solo performance again. In 2011, Oleg released the work "Seeing Colored Dreams". Before the official release, the rapper posted all his tracks online.
Work of LSP in a duet with Roma Aglichanin
Although LSP was a fairly productive solo artist, he still decided that it would be nice to work in tandem with someone.
Roma Sashchenko (aka Roma Englishman) joined Oleg in 2012 as a beat maker. However, Roma soon took the place of another producer.
Soon after the guys started working together, they released several singles: "Numbers" and "Why do I need this world." A video was filmed for the last track.
A year later, the new duet continued to delight listeners with great tracks. One of the released songs "Cocktail" was named the best hip-hop song of 2013.
All LSP tracks released this year have received very positive reviews. We are talking not only about the song "Cocktail", but also about "Lilwayne" and "More Money".
In 2014, the duo decided to release two albums at once. "Yop" and "Hangman" became hits almost immediately. The compositions were called witty tracks, to which you can dance on the dance floor. Perhaps this is the formula for the artist's popularity.
The album "Hangman" was generally quite highly acclaimed. It even hit the top 3 albums of the year and the top 20 albums of the first decade of the XNUMXst century.
On many Belarusian music portals, the track "Better than the Internet" was the best among all the duet's works.
Under the wing of the Booking Machine
2014 gave LSP the opportunity to work with one of the most famous rap artists in Russia, Miron Fedorov, better known as Oxxxymiron.
Miron was the CEO of the Booking Machine agency, which managed to assemble a team of the best rappers in Russia.
Thanks to the support of Fedorov, the artist was able to release the track "I'm bored with life." The song was recognized as one of the best rap songs of the year. However, Savchenko believed that his best work was the track "Force Field", released in 2015.
Working with Booking Machine, LSP also released the full-length album Magic City. The recording featured rapper Pharaoh and LSP patron Oxxxymiron.
It was thanks to this album that the duet was very popular and gained many fans. Their popularity was outside of Russia and Belarus. Video clips were shot for a number of tracks ("Madness", "OK").
Leaving the Booking Machine
Oleg and Roma after a while realized that the contract with the agency, although it gave a resounding success, still limited them in their individual development.
LSP decided to leave Booking Machine and start promoting his music on his own. It was during this period of their work that active performances began.
However, the duo's departure was not quiet and calm. As happens in show business, there was a conflict. LSP and Oxxxymiron posted a video with mutual accusations and, using obscene language, outlined the essence of the whole problem. In the future, both parties decided to stop communicating with each other.
In 2016, LSP and Pharaoh released the Confectionery album and went on tour.
Album Magic City — Tragic City
The following year, the musicians presented the listeners with a logical continuation of one of their albums. The duology of Magic City and Tragic City albums is considered the brightest and most successful work of rappers.
A video clip was shot for the track "Coin", in which Roma the Englishman also appeared. This was the only clip of the duet where Roma can be seen. The video clip began to gain views on YouTube, at the moment it has gained more than 40 million views.
Duo breakup
The musicians successfully worked together until the tragedy ended their cooperation.
On July 30, 2017, Roma the Englishman died of cardiac arrest. At that time he was 29 years old, and he already had a number of health problems. The most likely cause of the problems was drug and alcohol use.
Roma himself, a year before his death, said that he had very little time left to live.
Despite the loss of a friend, Oleg continued his career and said that he would work solo again. But a little later, he accepted Den Hawk and Petr Klyuev into the ranks of the LSP.
In memory of Roma, Oleg released a song and a video clip for it "The Body". Roma the Englishman was played by the famous YouTube blogger Dmitry Larin.
Continuation of career
In 2018, Oleg recorded a cover version of the song by rapper Face Baby. Blogger Pleasant Ildar appeared in the video clip. In the autumn of the same year, a joint track by LSP, Feduk and Yegor Creed "The Bachelor" was released.
In 2019, Oleg worked with Morgenstern (the track "Green-eyed Deffki"), and also released his song "Autoplay".
The personal life of an artist
For a long time, Oleg assured everyone that he was single and had no problems in relations with the opposite sex. However, in 2018 it became known that the musician married his girlfriend Vladislav. Oleg does not give any information about children.
LSP today
At the end of the first summer month of 2021, the premiere of a new song by singer LSP took place. The track was called "Golden Sun". The artist recorded the composition together with Dose. In the track, the singers turned to the Sun, they beg to save them from bad weather.
The premiere of the LSP track "Snegovichok" took place on February 11, 2022. The snowman in the song becomes the embodiment of short-lived love, which cannot withstand the pressure of the overwhelmed heroes of passions.
