Manizhi Sangin family

By origin Manizha Sangin is a Tajik. She was born in Dushanbe on July 8, 1991. Daler Khamraev, the girl's father, worked as a doctor. Najiba Usmanova, mother, psychologist by education. In the present, the woman is a fashion designer. 

It was at the suggestion of her mother that Manizha became a singer. Father, an orthodox Muslim, has always opposed working in public. Parents divorced. There are 4 more children in the family: older and younger brother and sister. Sangin is the surname of the grandmother, her girlfriend took it when she grew up.

Moving Manizha to Moscow

The family decided to move to the capital of Russia in 1994. The reason for this decision was the dangerous situation in his native country. The apartment where the Khamraevs lived was destroyed by a shell. Moving was a way out of a difficult situation. In a new place, I had to learn to live differently. All family members had to quickly master the Russian language, to be included in the surrounding rhythm.

Music hobby

At the age of 5, the girl was sent to study music in the piano class. Soon Manizha was expelled, citing the fact that she had no talent, and it was impossible to teach her to work with the instrument. 

Already in her school years, preparing for the festive performances, the girl showed colossal vocal abilities. Mother urgently rushed in search of private teachers. So Manizha began to study with Tatyana Antsiferova, Tahmina Ramazanova. At the age of 11, the girl began to write her own songs.

Having revealed her talent, the girl began to actively perform at various school events. Since 2003, Manizha regularly participates in various competitions. She received the main prize of Rainbow Stars in Jurmala, sang at the festival "Ray of Hope", Kaunas Talent.

In 2006, the girl became the winner in the Time to Light the Stars contest. In 2007, the young singer won the All-Russian competition "Five Stars" in Sochi. At this point, she was already actively recording songs that were broadcast on radio and television.

Recording the first albums

Manizha recorded her first songs under the pseudonym Ru. Cola. Having matured, she decided to settle on a concise spelling of the name in the international format. It was under the name Manizha that the girl gained popularity. 

In 2008, at her own expense, the singer recorded her studio debut, I Neglect. It included 11 compositions, a couple of them were supplemented with clips. The video was broadcast on television in Russia, Ukraine. In 2009, Manizha created another incomplete dozen of new compositions for the next studio collection.

Difficulties of professional definition

After graduating from school, in agreement with her mother, Manizha entered the institute. The specialty of psychology was chosen for training. At that time, the girl did not see her future in an artistic environment, although she was passionate about music. Mom convinced her daughter that there was no need to get an education as an artist. The presence of talent still does wonders. The education of a psychologist is universal, useful in any job.

An unexpected start to a musical career

Acquaintance with the members of the Assai team prompted the girl to start a musical career. The soloist of the group Alexei Kosov invited the singer to their concert, where he offered to go on stage in front of a full house of spectators. Manizha's performance was liked by the public. The success inspired the girl, together with the guys from Assai she went to St. Petersburg to participate in the recording of their album.

Inspiration in the atmosphere of the northern capital

Manizha was fascinated by St. Petersburg. Here she drew inspiration. In a short period, the girl wrote many new compositions. Assai musicians have created a joint project. The new group was named Krip De Shin. They performed live together, in 2012 the guys recorded an EP of 6 songs. The emergence of creative contradictions led to a break in cooperation.

Life and work of Manizha in London

From this moment, the girl begins a creative crisis. Acquaintance with a participant in an international project, the work on which was carried out in London, helped. It was assumed that the artists would perform on the principle of the Cirque du Soleil. There was preparation, but the project did not take place. The girl took vocal lessons during her life in the capital of Great Britain. Before returning home, the singer spent a short time in New York.

Numerous joint projects

Manizha returned to Russia in 2012. Here she began to take on various creative projects. Together with Andrei Samsonov, she created the musical accompaniment for the film “Delhi Dance”, and also participated in the recording of the compositions “Laska Omnia”.

 In the northern capital, the singer managed to perform in front of a large audience as an opening act for Lana Del Rey. Together with Mikhail Mishchenko, the girl created the album "Core". Manizha has also worked with Escome. Their joint track was used by Leonid Rudenko, creating a musical mixture for a performance at the Olympic Games in Sochi.

Since 2013, Manizha has been actively maintaining an Instagram page, posting short videos. She recorded covers of popular songs, created various musical collages. Subsequently, in this way, she began to present her personal work to subscribers.

Listeners consistently gave high marks. Creativity in the network began to quickly gain momentum. In 2016, the singer was nominated for the Golden Gargoyle award for her Internet music activities. In the same year, the singer was included in the Sobaka.ru rating, and in 2017 she won the magazine's award for online music promotion.

New full album release

Manizha recorded her debut full-length album in 2017. The record "Manuscript" quickly gained popularity. In support of the project, the singer organized a performance at the Ice Palace. The following year, Manizha released another album, YaIAM, which also interested the public.

To maintain popularity, as well as raise funds for the continuation of her creative development, Manizha began to actively act in commercials. In 2017, a video was recorded for Borjomi. The singer also became the face of the HYIP tariff from MTS, starred in the Adidas Russia video. She acted as a director and author of music in an advertisement for LG refrigerators.

Manizha participation in Eurovision

Since 2018, there have been rumors about the participation of Manizhi in the Eurovision Song Contest from Russia. She applied for the project in 2019 but was not selected. It was possible to confirm her candidacy for a concert in 2021. For this event, the singer is preparing a song of an unusual format "Russian woman".

At the beginning of May 2021, the presentation of the new single of the singer Manizhi took place. We are talking about the composition "Hold me the Earth." The track is 5 minutes long. The musical work is made in ethnic style.
