Pinkhas Tsinman, who was born in Minsk, but moved to Kyiv with his parents a few years ago, began to seriously study music at the age of 27. He combined in his work three directions - reggae, alternative rock, hip-hop - into one whole. He called his own style "Jewish alternative music".

Vyacheslav was born in 1985 in the family of a MAZ factory worker and an honored librarian. At the age of 7, the child was sent to a Jewish school, which led to the formation and development of musical talent in this particular direction.

As a child, the boy heard the Danube nigun, which made an indelible impression on the young talent. Similar creations were written by Hasidim living on the territory of Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Russia. So there are Slavic notes in them, but the Jews put their own attitude towards the Creator into these folk works.

Nigun "Danube" is performed in Hebrew, Yiddish and Russian. Listening to this charming melody, Pinchas imagined the river bank and the shepherdess playing the pipe.

Pinchas acquired his first guitar in Brooklyn, where he spent two years of his life in a yeshiva, an Orthodox organization. In addition to this instrument, he is fluent in keyboards and flute.

Zinman is a rabbi, professing Lubavitcher Hasidism and educated at the highest Talmudic school.

The Tsinman family moved from Minsk to Kyiv in 2017 at the suggestion of the Donetsk rabbi, who, after hostilities in the Donbass, moved with the community to the capital of Ukraine.

Here, in addition to studying music, releasing video clips and CDs, Pinchas also teaches Torah in the synagogue. Pinchas Tsinman has four children.

Pinkhas Tsinman began his musical creativity with a passion for reggae. But then notes of rock and hip-hop began to sound in his compositions.

During his stay in the United States of America, the young man decided to participate in the creative competition A Jewish Star, which takes place in Brooklyn. And he managed to reach the final. Of course, out of habit, it was scary to go out to an audience of many thousands, but the result speaks for itself - the performer did everything at the highest level.

The video clip for the song "Where Are You?", released in Brooklyn in 2016, was well received by the American audience, gaining more than 6 thousand views. Not everyone caught the meaning that the author wanted to convey to his listener. The song is not about finding a girl, but about the movement of the soul to God.

Pinkhas Zinman: Getting to the professional level

This track was included in the artist's first full-length album, which was released in 2017 and was called "Everything Will Gut". Pinchas raised money for this work at the Belorussian crowdfunding site "Hive". Thanks to donations from fans, the musician was able to move from amateur to professional.

Since then, Tsinman has been actively collaborating with musicians from Israel, Ukraine and Russia. And together with Ulmo Three, he tried to break through to Eurovision in 2020. The guys presented the composition Veahavta (Love) at the qualifying competition, recorded in three languages ​​​​at once - Russian, Ukrainian and Hebrew.

The main message from the romantic-minded author is to dream and make dreams come true. All you have to do is wish hard, and everything will come true.

Pinchas wrote this song together with the Israeli musician MENi. He often consulted with the Rebbe about writing music. And he usually blessed him for creativity.

But the day before sending the new composition into rotation, Zinman received a message from the Rebbe. He wrote that the popularization of Hasidic songs, on the one hand, is a good thing. But on the other hand, reworking a melody can do more harm than good. I had to return the original tune, although the video sequence remained the same.

"Soldiers of Faith"

Once the book "Soldiers of Faith" caught the eye of the musician, which unusually struck his imagination. It was about a Jewish boy who, despite the difficulties, showed courage and did not lose faith. So the ballad of the same name was born.

"Veahavta (Love)"

Collaboration Pinhas with Ukrainian guitarist and leader of "Ulmo Tri" Konstantin Sheludko, who plays indie rock. The meaning of the composition is that time can heal any wounds. Despite the fact that people are separated by countries and distances, they are united by something completely different.
