The songs of the group "Dots" are the first meaningful rap that appeared on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Autumn 1998 - this date was decisive for the then young team. In the late 90s, the Dots musical group was founded, which consisted of as many as 12 people. It is important to note that half of the team was just for "weight" and balance, as noted by the leaders of the team. At that time, the following musicians were involved in the promotion of the rap group:
- Ilya Kuznetsov;
- Gene Thunder;
- Dmitry Korablin;
- Rustam Alyautdinov.

It was not in vain that he opted for such an informal name for the band. In his opinion, the ellipsis is what makes it possible to know the world, and this is what remains with a person after death.
Since the formation of this group, its leaders began to adhere to a certain line of "creative behavior." The founders and leaders of the group "stopped" any attempts at dishonest earnings, by using the name of the group. Moreover, the organizers of the performances did not have the right to "take out the non-public" filmed video and photos from the performances.
However, this rule eventually had to be abandoned. In 2000, the first mobile phones with a camera began to appear. And if "Dots" could put a condition on the prohibition of filming to the organizers of the concert, then they did not have the opportunity to control the actions of the fans.
Interestingly, over the years of the existence of the rap group, the guys have not released a single clip. The performers tried to read purely about the events that they experienced on their own.
Creativity of the rap group
From the very beginning of the formation of the group, Rustam had a clear vision of what their musical group should be like. According to music critics, Dots has been and remains the most striking non-producer project in Russian rap.
The first entries date back to 1998. The first performance of the guys also fell on the year 98, when they performed at one of the largest Rap Music genre festivals. And although then, the guys did not manage to take first place, their song “It happens in life” became a real popular hit.
A little later, the band performed at the Micro 2000 festival. In the same year, the team will suffer from changes. Many participants simply leave the project due to uselessness.
The debut album of the group "Dots" was released a year later, called "Life and Freedom". The album contained as many as 26 songs, they were recorded at the then unknown studio Dots Family Records. The top tracks were "White Leaves", "Dirty World", "Tell Me Brother".
This is interesting: the song "Revelation", which was included in the album "Life and Freedom", became the soundtrack to the film "Dust".
Due to the inattention of the director of the Dots group, the guys got absolutely nothing from the sales of the Life and Freedom album. But it was these songs that made it possible for rap fans to get acquainted with the work of "Dots".
A couple of years later, the rap group pleased its fans with the release of a new album, which was given the name "Atoms of Consciousness". The hits of the album were the following songs:
- "Last meeting";
- "It hurts in the soul of melancholy";
- "It's all my fault."
The release of the third album, which is called "The Third Way", fell on 2003. "Dots", combined their talent with M.Squad, releasing a lot of "juicy" rap into the world.
The following years the guys spent on tour. In 2006, the Dot group began to appear less and less often and give performances. The leaders of the rap group themselves explained this by the fact that most of the time is spent on personal life.
When did the group break up, and how do the leaders of the rap group live now?
The group officially disbanded at the end of 2007. The leaders of the musical group themselves did not specify the reason for their decision. One way or another, but the leader of the group "Dots" Rustaveli could not leave creativity. He continued to record tracks and give performances, but under the name DotsFam.
Over the years of existence, DotsFam has released 3 albums. After a resounding success, the former line-up of the group decided to take up the old. Rap artists began performing as the Dots Band.
The leaders of the group refer to their performance style as art rap. Interestingly, they perform their concerts live, without the use of arrangements. The last album released by the band is called Mirror for a Hero. It was released in 2017.
