Oksana Bilozir is a Ukrainian artist, public and political figure.
Childhood and youth of Oksana Bilozar
Oksana Bilozir was born on May 30, 1957 in the village. Smyga, Rivne region. Studied at the Zboriv High School. Since childhood, she showed leadership qualities, thanks to which she earned respect among her peers.
After graduating from the general education and Yavoriv music school, Oksana Bilozir entered the Lviv Music and Pedagogical School named after F. Kolessa.
Possessing a unique voice and hearing, she successfully graduated in 1976. It was here that she received those skills that open up new perspectives for the artist and provide an opportunity for further development. Soon the artist was educated at the Lviv State Conservatory. N. Lysenka.
The beginning of the artist's creative activity
The singer's musical career began in 1977. Oksana Bilozir became the soloist of the Rhythms of the Carpathians band. Two years later he received an invitation to the Philharmonic. In the same place, the team was renamed VIA "Vatra".
Together with the team, Bilozir won the Young Voices competition. Over time, she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine.
Being the main performer of VIA Vatra, she mainly performed folk songs in modern processing, as well as compositions by her husband Igor Bilozir. Almost all of them immediately became popular hits.
In 1990, the singer performed her most popular song "Ukrainochka". In the same year, she founded her own ensemble called Oksana.
In 1994, Oksana Bilozir received the title of People's Artist of Ukraine. At that time, she conquered her many fans with a new concert program, which was created jointly with the musicians of the Svityaz band.
In 1996, Bilozir began her teaching career - first she worked at a pop school, and after moving to Kyiv - at the Institute of Culture and Arts.
Over time, she becomes the head of the pop department. Two years later, in 1998, Bilozir received her first scientific title of associate professor, and since 2003 she has been a member of the professorial staff of this institute.
In 1998, her next album "For You" was released. A year later - the album "Charming boykivchanka", which included remixes of the most popular songs of Oksana Bilozir.
At the end of 2000, a new CD was released, which included both new songs and remakes of already beloved compositions.
In 2001, the artist began working with a new producer and arranger. So, a creative alliance with Vitaly Klimov and Dmitry Tsiperdyuk made it possible to modernize her songs even more.
In 1999, Bilozir received her second higher education, graduating from the Diplomatic Academy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Political activities of Oksana Bilozir
She has been active in politics since 2002. The singer became a member of the Our Ukraine bloc, after his victory she becomes a people's deputy of the IV convocation. She chaired the subcommittee on Euro-Atlantic cooperation of the UAF Foreign Affairs Committee.
During the 2006 parliamentary elections, Oksana Bilozir also ran for the Our Ukraine bloc. And again she received the mandate of the People's Deputy of Ukraine of the XNUMXth convocation.
In the same year, she was elected head of one of the subcommittees that make up the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In 2005, the singer headed the Ministry of Culture and Arts of Ukraine under the Minister Y. Tymoshenko. From 2004 to 2005 She was the leader of the Social Christian Party.
