Childhood and youth years of Oksana Lyniv

The conductor's date of birth is January 6, 1978. She was lucky to be born in a primordially creative and intelligent family. She spent her childhood in the small town of Brody (Lviv, Ukraine).

Oksana's parents worked as musicians. Grandpa devoted himself entirely to teaching music. It is also known that she was brought up with her brother, whose name was Yura.

It is not difficult to guess that music often sounded in the Lyniv house. In addition to receiving secondary education at an educational institution, she attended a music school in her native town.

After receiving a matriculation certificate, Oksana went to Drohobych. Here the girl entered the music school named after Vasily Barvinsky. She was definitely one of the most talented students in the stream.

A year later, she goes to colorful Lviv. In the city of his dreams, Lyniv enters the Stanislav Lyudkevich Music College. In an educational institution, she mastered playing the flute. After some time, the talented girl studied at the Lviv National Music Academy named after Mykola Lysenko.

Everything would be fine, but it was difficult for Oksana to realize and develop her creative potential in her native country. In a more mature interview, she said: “In the early 2000s in Ukraine, without connections, you had no chance of normal professional development ...”.

Today, only one thing can be judged - she made the right decision when she went abroad. By her 40s with a “tail”, the woman managed to realize herself as one of the most powerful conductors on the planet. Lyniv says: “If you don’t take risks, you will never become a phenomenon.”

The creative path of Oksana Lyniv

While studying at the academy, Bogdan Dashak made Oksana his assistant. A few years later, Lyniv made a difficult decision. She ventured into the first Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition at the Bamberg Philharmonic.

Until that moment, the conductor had never been abroad. Participation in the competition brought the talented Ukrainian woman an honorable third place. She remained abroad, and in 2005 became assistant conductor Jonathan Knott.

In the same year she moved to Dresden. In the new city of Lyniv, she studied at the Carl Maria von Weber Higher School of Music. According to Oksana, no matter what talent she has, you always need to work on yourself and your knowledge.

She was supported by the "Forum of Conductors" of the Association of Musicians (Germany). During this period of time, she attends master classes of world-famous conductors.

Return to Ukraine and further creative activity of Oksana Lyniv

In 2008 the conductor returns to his beloved Ukraine. During this period of time, she conducts at the Odessa Opera House. However, fans did not enjoy Oksana's work for long. After a couple of years, she again leaves her homeland. Lyniv subtly hints that she cannot fully develop as a professional in her native country.

After some time, it became known that a talented Ukrainian became the best conductor of the Bavarian Opera. A couple of years later, she became the head of the Opera and the Philharmonic Orchestra in one of the towns of Austria.

In 2017 she founded the Ukrainian Youth Symphony Orchestra. Oksana gave Ukrainian children and youth a unique chance to develop their talent within her symphony orchestra.

She devoted most of her life to creativity and art. But, almost like any woman, Oksana dreamed of a loving man. For a given period of time (2021), she is in a relationship with Andrey Murza.

Her chosen one was a man of a creative profession. Andrey Murza is the artistic director of the Odessa International Violin Competition. In addition, he works as a musician in the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra (Germany).

The tandem of a star conductor and a talented violinist is also united by creative projects, for example, Mozart's music and love for everything Ukrainian. During the existence of the LvivMozArt festival, talented musicians have repeatedly revealed little-known masterpieces of Ukrainian music to the public and presented their "Lviv" Mozart to the world.

In Germany, where Oksana lives for a given period of time, it is forbidden to hold concerts. Lyniv, together with the orchestra, performs online.

In 2021, together with the Vienna Radio Orchestra, she managed to take part in the world premiere of the work “The Wrath of God” by Sofia Gubaidulina. The performance took place despite the restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Oksana, together with the orchestra, performed in an empty hall. The concert was watched in almost every corner of the world. It was streamed online.

In the summer of 2021, another debut of the conductor took place. She opened the Bayreuth Fest with the opera The Flying Dutchman.
