Crap - keyboardist and second guitarist. The name Oomph means something like "full of energy". Thus, the name of the group perfectly describes the creative development of the trio. As a pioneer of a new musical genre, the band immediately attracted a lot of attention.

Their music mixed the directions of metal, rock and electronic means. Above all, Dero's distinctive voice and his provocative yet always demanding lyrics quickly became a hallmark of the young team. The first work also made a splash in America. There, she reached a sensational third place on the college radio chart.

With the release of Sperm's successor album, Oomph! finally established their own sound and were named "Breakthrough of 1993" by Rock Hard magazine. From the very beginning, the group shocked the audience with video clips and cheeky advertising. Oomph! again and again visualized the theme of sex and violence. Several times the team was involved in litigation, causing a public outcry.

On stage, Oomph quickly developed into a great live band. For greater effect, the team was reinforced with drums and bass. Oomph! gave fiery performances at With Full Force and Wacken Open Air in 1996. At the same time, the third album "Wunschkind" was created. Glory and popularity

In 1999, music critics called Oomph! None other than the "New German hardness." Groups like Rammstein or Megaherz, were on everyone's lips in the late nineties. But they openly admitted that Oomph! was one of the main sources of inspiration. This is another reason why Dero, Flux and Crap are rightfully considered the founders of their musical genre.

“If you just follow in the footsteps of others, you will not leave any traces,” Dero said. He constantly worked on his charismatic singing style, honing every sound. Dero's collaboration with Nina Hagen, Germany's most prominent rock singer, also sounded amazing.
