The founder of the group is a former member of another duo from the 1990s (The Unity Mixers). From the very beginning, Patrick acted as the team's composer.

Luc Rigaud, the second founder of the project, has always been with him. Their duet is known as the recording studio THE UNITY MIXERS.

The composition of the group itself is female, its first members: Marcia Garcia, Sandra DeGregorio, Mary-Belle Paris and Shelby Diaz; the soloist then (and until 2008) was the spectacular Marcia.

The band came into being during a slump in the popularity of dance music and was a fresh influx into the industry. The lightness and ease of sounding made the group of fans of the dance style fall in love with the songs.

The group is known for their sense of rhythm, listening to their songs brings a good mood and desire to go to the dance floor.

The beginning of Paradiso's career

The Belgian-Spanish group presented its first track in the year of its foundation, then it became popular among the Belgian club culture.

The founders wanted to take the girls' team to a higher level, so they chose the path of quality rather than quantity.

The second single was being prepared for release, two years after the release of the first. Patrick and Luke were not mistaken, and the incendiary composition Bailando captivated listeners around the world.

Bailando's biggest hit

The year 1996 for the group was distinguished by Marcia's performance of the song Bailando (translated from Spanish as “I dance”), it was this composition that became the unspoken “anthem of the summer” in Belgium. After the popularity in his native country, the hit went beyond its borders and won the hearts of "fans" all over the world.

Thanks to this song, the group was known, and until now it was the brightest period in the musical career of the artists.

Various music videos were filmed for this song, one of them was designed by director Thierry Dory in Miami. The entry into the tops of Germany (the capital of dance music) was not immediately.

This song reached its highest level only a year after the release, but not in the original performance, but in the cover version of the singer Loona. She also filmed a music video for the track and released her own cover art.

In Russia, the song also became widespread, the singer Shura expressed his vision for it in the late 1990s of the last century - he published a cover version of "Treasure Land".

After increasing popularity

The success of the Bailando composition required the speedy release of the following tracks, and a break of two years could deprive the team of the previous successes.

In 1996-1997 the group actively began to release their own singles, but they could not achieve or step over the popularity of the Bailando song. But they firmly established their name in the global dance culture.

In 1998, Luc Rigaud stopped working with the team.

The last independent studio track was released in 2003 (Luzdela Luna), it reached the 66th position in the Belgian music top. No more singles were released outside the country in such a wide format.

Group albums

The band's first full-length debut album was released in 1997 with the same name Paradisio. It consisted of ten independent compositions and four mixes of the group's songs, which were created by the famous Belgian project 2 FABIOLA.

Interestingly, in two countries (Russia and Japan) this disc was released in 1998 under a different name (Tarpeia), for these countries a separate cover was released.

It is in the composition of this album that there is the most popular song of the group. The main genres of this album were Latin music and Eurohouse.

Two years after the release of the first album, a disc appeared under the incendiary name Discoteca, but the speed of work and release of compositions now only allowed the participants to “stay afloat”, but not to conquer the leading positions of the music tops.

In 2011, members of the Paradisio group pleased their fans with the new album Noche Caliente, which included remixes and collaborations with other artists (Morena, Sandra, Alexandra Reeston, DJ Lorenzo, Jack D).

Group achievements

Since 1996, a CD with the song Bailando has been released, more than 5 million copies of it have been released. These included popular remixes from Loona (singer from the Netherlands) and Crazy Frog (Swedish frog singer).

This single was awarded the titles of gold, double gold, platinum in such countries as: Russia, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Italy, Chile, Mexico, etc.

The talented team worked with the famous Japanese record label in the late 1990s Nippon Crown.

Currently, the group still exists, although it has changed its personnel. The last single was released in 2010, and it was a remix of Bailando's biggest hit, suggesting that the project's entire career is centered around one song.

The musical group "Mandry" was created as a hub (or creative laboratory) in 1995-1997. At first, these were Thomas Chanson slide projects. Sergey Fomenko (author) wanted to show that there is another kind of chanson, not similar to the blat-pop genre, but which resembles European chanson.
