Peter Kenneth Frampton was born on April 22, 1950. Beckenham (England) is considered his hometown. The boy grew up in an ordinary family that had an average income. But from an early age, the boy's parents noticed a significant desire for music in the boy. Therefore, we decided to teach how to play musical instruments.

Thus, a little boy at the age of 7 was able to play even a complex melody on the guitar. Over the next years of his childhood, the guy mastered jazz instruments and the blues musical style.

Until adolescence, the musician performed with bands such as The Little Ravens, The Trubeats and George & The Dragons. The manager Bill Wyman (The Rolling Stones) became interested in the artist, who invited him to join The Preachers.

In 1967, under the direction of Wyman, 16-year-old Peter worked as the main guitarist, singer for the pop group The Herd. Thanks to the compositions From the Underworld, I Don't Want Our Loving to Die, the singer enjoyed great popularity. Then he decided to leave The Herd. Later that year, he and Steve Marriott fronted the blues rock band Humble Pie.

In 1971, despite the success of the albums Town and Country (1969) and Rock On (1970), the musician left the rock band.

His own debut was Wind of Change with guest artists Ringo Starr and Billy Preston. In 1974, the musician released Somethin's Happening and also toured extensively to develop his solo career.

Three years later, his old and good friend, with whom they were together in The Herd, decided to join him. This comrade and assistant was Andy Bown, who played keyboards. Then Rick Wills, who is in charge of bass playing, joined in. Later, John Siomos joined, who during this time was able to become a successful drummer. 

Thus, in 1975, a new joint album of Frampton musicians was released. This record did not have significant success, if you do not pay attention to previously released albums. 

New album and unprecedented glory of Peter Kenneth Frampton

But the situation changed when one of the artist's best-selling albums came out. It was called Frampton Comes Alive! and was presented to listeners a year after the release of the previous release. From this album, three songs became hits and sounded almost everywhere: Do You Feel Like We Do, Baby, I Love Your Way, Show Me the Way. Only 8 million copies were sold. The album was also certified 8x platinum.

The success of Frampton Comes Alive! promised the musician to get on the cover of the famous magazine Rolling Stone. And in 1976, Peter was invited to the White House by the son of President Gerald Ford.

The singer even won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his significant contribution to the recording industry. This event took place on August 24, 1979. Later, his work was not successful. The singer had failures, only in the 1980s he managed to succeed.

He met up with old friend David Bowie and they made albums together. Peter later went on tour with David to promote Never Let Me Down.

Personal lifeнь

Peter has been married three times. He met his first wife, former model Mary Lovett, in 1970. The couple lived together for three years, and then the couple filed for divorce due to quarrels. In 1983, the musician married Barbara Gold. But this marriage lasted only 10 years. The couple had two children. 

In 1996, the musician married Christina Elfers. This marriage lasted longer than the others - 15 years, and the couple divorced in 2011. The spouses have a common daughter, custody of which was divided equally. 

With the musician in 1978 there was a trouble. He got into a road accident. As a result, he received a broken bone, concussion and muscle damage. Due to constant pain, he had to take painkillers, which led him to abuse. But he quickly got over his addiction. Now the musician adheres to a vegetarian diet.

Two years later, an unpleasant incident occurred again with the singer. The plane that was carrying all of his guitars crashed. Only one guitar, which the artist cherished most of all, was repaired. He only received it in 2011.
