However, it was released only in 2004. Interestingly, in addition to seven studio tracks, there were four compositions that were recorded during live performances. The total duration of the album is just under 50 minutes.

By the way, in the same 2004 Sara starred in the low-budget film "Women's Play". In that small episode where she appears in the frame, she sings just the song from the debut album "Undertow". And two more tracks from the same album - "Gravity" and "Fairy Tale" - simply sounded in this film.

It should also be mentioned that a few years later, in 2008, the Careful Confessions album was re-released. This made it possible to introduce him to a wider audience.

Musical career of Sara Bareilles from 2005 to 2015

The following year, 2005, Sara Bareilles signed a contract with Epic Records. And she works with him to this day. All of her studio albums, except for the first, were released under this label.

At the same time, it is worth highlighting the second disc "Little Voice" - it became a real breakthrough for the singer. It went on sale on July 3, 2007. The lead single from this record is the song "Love Song". She was able to climb to number 4 in the US and UK charts. In June 2007, iTunes recognized this song as the single of the week. Moreover, in the future she was nominated for a Grammy as "Best Song of the Year".

In 2008, the album "Little Voice" went gold, and in 2011 platinum. In concrete terms, this means that more than 1 copies of it were sold.

As for the singer's third album, Kaleidoscope Heart, it was released in 2010. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200. In the first week, 90 copies of this album were sold. However, he could not achieve platinum status, like the same "Little Voice". In 000, Sara Bareilles was invited to the jury of the third season of the American TV show "The Sing Off" - to evaluate young performers.

Sara presented to the public on July 12, 2013 her next album, The Blessed Unrest. The recording process was covered on the singer's YouTube channel (which, of course, fueled the interest of the audience). After that, Sara Bareilles decided to try herself in an unexpected role - to participate in the creation of a musical. On August 20, 2015, the premiere of the musical Waitress took place on the stage of the American Repertory Theater. The musical is based on the film of the same name. 

For this performance, Sara wrote the original score and lyrics. By the way, this musical was in great demand among the audience and did not leave the stage for more than four years.

However, Sara Bareilles decided not to limit herself to the role of just an author - at some point she herself performed some of the songs from The Waitress (while reworking them a bit). Actually, from this material a new album was formed - "What's Inside: Songs from Waitress". It was released in January 2015 and was able to reach the Billboard 200 to the 10th position.

It should be added that in 2015 there was another important event for the fans of the singer - she released a book of memoirs called "Sounds Like Me: My Life (So Far) in Song".

Sara Bareilles Lately

On April 5, 2019, the sixth studio audio album of the pop singer appeared - it was called "Amidst the Chaos". In support of this album, Sara Bareilles staged a four-day tour, playing shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. 

In addition, Sara Bareilles appeared on the popular Saturday Night Live show, where she sang two new songs. "Amidst the Chaos", like her previous LPs, entered the TOP-10 (reached the 6th place). One of the most iconic songs from this album is "Saint Honesty". And just for her, the pop singer was given the Grammy Award - in the nomination "Best Roots Performance".

In April 2020, Sara Bareilles announced that she had been ill with COVID-19 in a mild form. Also in 2020, the singer participated in the creation of the series "Her Voice", filmed for the Apple TV + service. For the first season of the series, she specially wrote a number of songs.
