Childhood and youth
Alexandra Uman (real name of the artist) was born in 1970. He was born on the territory of the provincial Bobruisk. The head of the family and mother had nothing to do with creativity. Parents were genuinely surprised that their son chose a creative profession for himself.
During his school years, he actively wrote poetry, and also went in for sports. It cannot be said that he pleased his parents only with good marks in the diary, but in certain subjects - Alexander really was the best.
The teenage years became a time of experiments for Uman. He played in local bands and already then decided that he would definitely connect his life with music. After receiving a matriculation certificate, he entered the Minsk School of Music.
A year later, he became a frequent guest of the theater studio "Rond". There he met Leva Bi-2. Quite a bit of time will pass and the guys will “put together” their own musical project.
The creative path of the artist
Soon the Minsk authorities drew attention to the work of the studio. Ronda was closed. During this period of time, the guys created their own project. The brainchild of the musicians was called "Brothers in Arms". A little later, they acted as the "Coast of Truth".
After the closing of the studio, the guys pack their bags and move to Alexander's homeland. In a new place, they got a job in a local recreation center. Musicians rehearse and hone their vocal abilities.
At the end of the 80s, the guys decided to shorten the name. Since 1989 they have performed simply as "Bi-2". Lyova became the main vocalist of the group. Soon the artists decided to share their creativity with the society. The team visited the Mogilev Rock Festival. The musicians pleased the fans not only with a worthy punk, but also with spectacular concert numbers.
An increasing number of fans are interested in the work of the team. During this period of time, the artists visited almost every corner of their native Belarus. Moreover, the guys are preparing a long-play "Traitors to the Motherland", but did not have time to publish it. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Alexander is looking for his place under the sun in Israel.
In the new country, the young man had a hard time. The most difficult thing was to adapt in society. Shura was surrounded by strangers with their own customs. He changed more than 10 jobs. Alexander managed to work as a laborer, a loader and even a painter.
After some time, Lyova moved in with him. With new forces, the guys take up the old. The labors of the musicians were justified after they took 1st place at the music festival in Jerusalem. The team was bathed in popularity, but Shura again caught himself thinking that he lacked new emotions.
Moving to Australia
He listened to inner wishes and went to Australia. Alexander without any problems receives the citizenship of this country. Shura and Leva have not seen each other for 5 years. However, this did not stop the guys from creating remotely.
After some time, the participants of "Bi-2" joined forces and presented the fans of their work with a full-length long-play "Asexual and Sad Love". The album sold well. The stars were finally talked about in their homeland.
On the wave of popularity, they started recording the second studio album. We are talking about the collection "And the ship is sailing." The release of the disc did not take place and only a few works were on the radio.
Everything turned upside down when the guys began to hold joint concerts in Russia. At the same time, the musical work of the duet “No one writes to the Colonel” became an accompaniment to the film “Brother-2”. It is difficult to list people who did not hear the presented song then. Shura and Leva - bathed in the rays of glory.
From that moment on, the group's discography has been regularly replenished with records. Since 2011, funding has often been done through fan fundraising.
Lyova is still considered the main vocalist of the group, but sometimes Alexander also gets the microphone. For example, together with Chicherina, he created the composition "My Rock and Roll". After the reunion of Lyova and Shura, another brainchild arose. We are talking about the group "Odd Warrior". A certain feature of the team was that the tracks that were included in the repertoire of the rock group belonged to the authorship of Uncle Alexander. Manizha, Makarevich, Arbenina took part in the recordings of the Odd Warrior studios at different times.
In 2018, a new project entered the heavy music arena, led by Alexander. It's about the Cobain Jacket team. Initially, the idea was such that the tracks are composed by different authors, and performed by artists who have long been loved by the public.
Once Shura was asked how he came up with the idea to name the group by that name. Alexander replied that he asked his colleagues to come up with several dozen ridiculous names for the new project. From an impressive number of ideas for the name of the team, Shura opted for the most original one.
