Childhood and youth of Stas Kostyushkin

Stanislav Mikhailovich Kostyushkin was born in Odessa in 1971. Stas was brought up in a creative family. His mother is a former Moscow model, and his father is a jazz saxophonist.

Most of his life Stanislav spent in St. Petersburg. The family moved to the cultural capital when Stanislav was six months old. Childhood and youth passed on the Neva River, where the boy often came with family and friends. It was on the Neva that a professional photographer took the boy, and the photo of little Stas went to a Soviet fashion magazine. In the image, Stanislav appeared in front of the camera in a bright jumpsuit.

Soon the boy was sent to a music school. There the boy began to play musical instruments and seriously engage in singing. At school, Stas was enrolled in the school choir. In Kostyushkin Jr., teachers discovered an operatic voice. The young man managed to sing, play the piano and visit the judo section. Stas saw himself as a dramatic actor.

After graduation, Stas Kostyushkin is preparing to become a student at the Institute of Theater, Music and Cinema. On the way to the institute, Stas met his old friend, who was aware that Kostyushkin was the owner of an operatic voice. The girl persuaded Stanislav to appear to a familiar teacher at the conservatory.

The teacher noted that Stas has an excellent dramatic baritone. But, he cannot accept Kostyushkin to the conservatory, because for that period of time, he did not reach the age of majority. Stanislav did not waste time. He became a student at the Rimsky-Korsakov Music College, choosing the vocal department.

The young man alternated judo with training at the school. At one of the training sessions, Stanislav's nose was broken. Kostyushkin did not yet know that the injury would deprive him of his favorite pastime. In his 2nd year, Kostyushkin moved into the ranks of the professionally unsuitable. He was expelled from the educational institution, because the injury had severe consequences for the throat.

Such a twist of fate did not break Stas. He went to the Netherlands. Local teachers helped Kostyushkin restore his vocal abilities. Upon his return to St. Petersburg, Stanislav met his future partner in the Tea Together team.

Stas Kostyushkin: a creative path

In 1994, music lovers heard the songs of a musical group, which consisted of only two charming men. Yes, we are talking about the group Chai for two. In 1994, the duo presented the track "Pilot".

Soon the young performers were noticed by Shufutinsky, who invited the singers to go on tour with him. Thus, Chai together was able to recoup the money spent on the debut video "Pilot" at concerts.

Laima Vaikule contributed to the promotion of the Tea Together group. Lyme allowed Kostyushkin and Klyaver to perform between her solo programs. This allowed the group to quickly gain a foothold on the Russian stage.

In 1996, young performers made their debut at the Song of the Year music festival. Now, the duo's popularity is starting to grow exponentially. At the "Song of the Year" the singers presented the musical composition "Bird Cherry".

In 1997, the duo recorded their debut album, I Will Not Forget. The disc is sold in large numbers. If you do not take into account the debut album, then Chai together has 9 records in his discography. Despite the popularity and relevance of the musical group, journalists began to discuss the fact that men do not get along with each other, and most likely, the group will soon break up.

At first, the artists denied that there were problems between them. But, all in 2011, Kostyushkin and Klyaver officially announced that the duet was ceasing to exist. Kostyushkin, in particular, stated that he had long dreamed of a solo career.

In 2011, Stanislav underwent surgery. The operation helped remove his vocal cord problems. Now there was no barrier, and Stas was free to practice vocals. The Russian performer graduated from the vocal department of the St. Petersburg Conservatory. He studied singing with Irina Bozhedomova.

Initially, Kostyushkin said that he planned to build a solo career. But, as a result of Stanislav's efforts, the Stanley Schulman's Band was born. Many puzzled over the name. Later, the Russian singer explained that he gave the name to his grandfather, military journalist Joseph Shulman. The repertoire of the musical group includes tracks from the 30-40s of the twentieth century, in a new interpretation. The genre of performance is academic pop.

In early 2012, Stanislav became the founder of a musical group with the bright and sunny "A-Dessa". In a short period of time, the group managed to climb to the top.
