Stas Namin: Childhood and youth

A native Muscovite, Anastas Mikoyan, was born on November 8, 1951. His father, Alexei, was a regular military man, and his mother, Nami, was a music historian. It was thanks to his father that little Stas became interested in rock. The collection included albums by Galich, Okudzhava and Elvis Presley.

When the guy was 10 years old, he went to study at the Suvorov Military School. The musician still remembers those times with pride and warmth. It was there that his character was tempered. And in 1964 he created the first rock band. It was called "Magicians" and existed until 1967 (when Namin created a new Politburo group, which included the founder, his brother Alik and several friends).

Passion for music did not affect the acquisition of knowledge. And immediately after graduating from the educational institution, the already accomplished musician entered the Institute of Foreign Languages. During his studies, he met other musicians, and he was invited to the Bliki group as a guitarist. However, soon impressed by the work of such Western bands as Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones и The Beatles, he created the vocal and instrumental ensemble "Maki".

After being transferred to the Faculty of Philology at Moscow State University, the guys began rehearsals. In 1972, the group's first disc was released, which instantly sold out in millions of copies throughout the Soviet Union.

The first popularity of Stas Namin

After several more popular hits of the band were released in 1974, talented musicians were invited to the Moscow Philharmonic.

However, a year later, due to constant disputes regarding the repertoire and format, the ensemble left this hospitable institution. From that moment on, difficulties began. Soviet censorship was not satisfied with the group's songs. And she fell under a total ban, which actually put an end to the further existence of the team.

In 1977, a new group "Stas Namin" was created. She managed to record only one disc "Hymn of the Sun", which was released in 1980. However, such music was not pleasing to censorship. The team was not allowed to perform at large venues and television for five years. The group's hit "We wish happiness", recorded in 1982, became publicly available three years later.

The black streak ended when the start of "perestroika" was announced in the country. The newly assembled group "Flowers" got the opportunity to go abroad, and she toured the world for four years. After returning to their homeland, the musicians decided to stop their joint activities.

Producer activity

The famous SNS - "Stas Namin Center" was organized in 1987. The location instantly became iconic. At the best recording studio in the country, the first tracks were written by such bands as Splin, Brigada S, Kalinov Most, Moral Code, etc. As a producer, Stas, following the example of Western groups, created the Gorky Park project. This is the first Soviet rock band that was recognized and popular in America.

In the late 1980s, Namin organized another Stanbet project. Dividing the creative and business direction, the musician became a pioneer in many areas of business.

In 1992, Stas organized the country's first Balloon Festival, which later became a regular event. And two years later, he developed and brought to life the ball project in the form of the famous "Yellow Submarine".

Travel period of Stas Namin

In addition to Stas, Leonid Yarmolnik, Maxim Leonidov, Leonid Yakubovich, Andrey Makarevich, Thor Heyerdahl and Yuri Senkevich took part in the round-the-world trip, which took place in 1997. During the trip, which was more than 40 thousand kilometers long and passed through Easter Island, Namin filmed a documentary for National Geographic.

Namin liked traveling so much that he visited almost all corners of the Earth. He became the author and director of many documentaries about different countries. In America, he acted as a producer of the film Free to Rock. Another hobby of the musician is photography. It continued in a series of works that were exhibited in 2006 at the Theater Museum. A. A. The "second life" of the "Flowers" group began in 1999. Since that time, the team returned to creative activity. The musicians released an anniversary album and actively toured not only around the country, but also abroad. In 2010, in London, Stas and his friends recorded a series of discs "Back to the USSR". It included unreleased compositions previously banned in the 1980s.

And in the late 1990s of the last century, Stas became interested in musicals. Another of his creations was the Stas Namin Theatre. Classical works such as The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Bremen Town Musicians, Hair and others sound in a new way on the stage.

The first wife of the musician was Anna Isaeva. Their marriage lasted only a few years - from the mid-1970s until 1979. Despite the divorce, the couple remained on friendly terms. Anna took the position of commercial director in the artist's holding. From the marriage there was a daughter, Maria, born in 1977.

The second wife of Stas was the famous singer, Lyudmila Senchina, with whom he lived for seven years. The musicians worked together a lot, and Stas greatly influenced the singer's musical taste. However, due to the dissimilarity of the characters, they decided to leave.
