Singer of Georgian origin Tamta Goduadze (also known simply as Tamta) is famous for her strong voice. As well as spectacular appearance and extravagant stage costumes. In 2017, she participated in the jury of the Greek version of the musical talent show "X-Factor". Already in 2019, she represented Cyprus at Eurovision.
Tamta is currently one of the most influential performers in Greek and Cypriot pop music. The number of fans of her talent in these countries is really huge.
The early years of the singer Tamta, moving to Greece and the first successes
Tamta Goduadze was born in 1981 in Tbilisi, Georgia. Already at the age of 5 she began to sing. It is also known that for quite a long time Tamta was a soloist of a children's musical group, and in this capacity she won many awards from children's song festivals. In addition, young Tamta studied ballet and took piano lessons for 7 years.
When Tamta was 22, she decided to move to Greece. And by that time she already had a 6-year-old daughter in her arms - she gave birth to her at 15, her name is Anna.
At first, in Greece, Tamta was engaged in cleaning houses. But at some point, she was advised to go to the casting show for the vocalists of Super Idol Greece. She listened to this advice and did not lose. She managed to take second place in this project.
In addition, participation in the project helped her obtain a residence permit and sign a contract with the Greek record label Minos EMI. In 2004, she released the single "Eisai To Allo Mou Miso" in a duet with Stavros Konstantinou (he just beat her on "Super Idol Greece" - he was given 1st place). The single turned out to be quite bright. A little later, Goduadze began performing as an opening act for the then Greek pop stars - Antonis Remos and Yorgos Dalaras.
Tamta singer career from 2006 to 2014
In 2006, the album "Tamta" was released on the Minos EMI label. It is less than 40 minutes long and has only 11 tracks. Moreover, 4 of them - "Den Telionei Etsi I Agapi", "Tornero-Tromero", "Ftais" and "Einai Krima" - were released as separate singles.
In January 2007, Goduadze presented the song "With Love" to the public. The song turned out to be very successful. It reached number two on the Greek Singles Chart. And Tamta was close to getting to Eurovision 2007 with her from Greece. But as a result, the singer was only third in the national selection.
On May 16, 2007, Tamta released her second studio album under the Minos EMI label, Agapise me. The album included 14 songs, including "With Love". In the main Greek chart, this album managed to get to 4 lines.
In the same 2007, Tamta Goduadze sang the song "Ela Sto Rhythmo", which became the main musical theme of the series "Latremenoi Mou Geitones" ("My Favorite Neighbors"). In addition, a little later, she recorded the soundtrack for the advertising campaign of the Greek chocolate LACTA - the song "Mia Stigmi Esu Ki Ego". Subsequently, this song (along with "Ela Sto Rhythmo") was included in the extended re-release of the Agapise me audio album.
Two years later, Tamta released the romantic ballad "Koita me". Plus, a video was shot for this song - it was directed by Konstantinos Rigos. "Koita me" was the first single from Tamta's new album. The entire album was released in March 2 - it was called "Tharros I Alitheia".
Participation in the musical "Rent"
It should also be mentioned that during one season (2010-2011) Goduadze participated in the Greek version of the Broadway musical "Rent" ("Rent"). It was about a group of poor young artists trying to survive in pragmatic New York.
From 2011 to 2014, Tamta did not record studio records, but released a number of individual singles. In particular, these are "Tonight" (with the participation of Claydee & Playmen), "Zise To Apisteuto", "Den Eimai Oti Nomizeis", "Gennithika Gia Sena" and "Pare Me".
Participation of Tamta in the show "X-Factor" and in the Eurovision Song Contest
In the 2014-2015 season, Tamta acted as a judge and mentor in the Georgian adaptation of the British musical show "X-Factor". And in 2016 and 2017, she was honored to be a member of the jury of the Greek version of X-Factor. At the same time, she ended up in the company of such famous figures of Greek show business as Yorgos Mazonakis, Babis Stokas and Yorgos Papadopoulos.
And Tamta Goduadze several times, starting in 2007, expressed her intention to participate in Eurovision. But only in 2019 did she achieve her goal. And she went to this competition as a representative of Cyprus. At Eurovision, Tamta performed the incendiary English song "Replay", which was written for her by the talented Greek composer Alex Papakonstantinou.
With this composition, Tamta managed to pass the semi-final selection and perform in the final. Her final result here is 109 points and 13th place. The winner that year, as many remember, was the representative of the Netherlands Duncan Lawrence.
But despite the modest amount of points, Tamta's performance was remembered by many. Moreover, she appeared on the Eurovision stage in a very unexpected outfit - in a latex jacket and very long over the knee boots. Moreover, in the middle of the number, some parts of this outfit were also torn off by men from the dancers.

In 2020, Goduadze was very active in terms of creativity - she released 8 singles and clips were shot for 4 of them. Moreover, the direction of the clips for the compositions "S' Agapo" and "Hold On" was handled by Tamta herself, together with her lover Paris Kasidokostas Latsis. Interestingly, Paris is a representative of one of the richest families in Greece. And, according to information in the media, the romance between Tamta and Paris began back in 2015.
In 2020, another important event took place - the first English-language mini-album (EP) by Tamta "Awake" was released. It includes only 6 tracks. However, already in 2021, Tamta pleased her fans: on February 26, she released a completely new song - with the beautiful name "Melidron".
It should also be added that Tamta has a developed instagram. There she periodically uploads interesting photos for subscribers. By the way, there are quite a lot of subscribers - more than 200.
