In the German town of Alzey, in the family of purebred Turks Ali and Neshe Tevetoglu, on October 17, 1972, a rising star is born, who has received recognition of talent in virtually all of Europe.

His real name is Hyusametin (translated as "sharp sword"). For convenience, he was given a second one - Tarkan, in honor of the main character of a popular Turkish humorous book.

Great-grandfather was a brave hero, in 1787-1791 he participated in the Russian-Turkish war, and there were only folk singers on my mother's side. The boy grew up with a brother and four sisters.
At home, they always respected Turkish traditions, listened to folk songs.

On the way to success
Once in his homeland, Tarkan decided to connect his life with the career of a singer. Went to school, took piano lessons.

In early 1995, he received the first summons to the army. Taking a reprieve, he begins work on the Tarkan compilation. But the service was inevitable, especially since the threat of deprivation of citizenship hung over him.

Demobilized, he decides to go to his dream. Mehmet Soyutolou, director of the famous Istanbul Plak label, produced his debut album, and already in 1992 Yine Sensiz was released.
Success is overwhelming. It was a significant event or a real fate, thanks to which Tarkan met the composer Ozan Colakola, with whom cooperation continues to this day.
The singer was an innovator, because before him no one wrote songs without focusing on a Western tune.
In 1994, the singer is already ready to conquer the audience with the second "Aacayipsin". In Europe, at the World Music Awards, he is awarded an international award and prize.
It was one of the first victories over fate, which took him away from the stage in every possible way.
For some time he collaborated with Sezen Aksu, she even wrote several masterpieces for him. But soon a conflict arises between them, then a trial, the contract is canceled.
To spite, Sezen transfers his authorship to Philip Kirkorov, so “Oh, mother, chic ladies” appears.
In mid-2001, Karma sold one million copies throughout Europe. "Kuzu-kuzu" sounds from everywhere, in parallel, a video for the composition is released.
Even in Russia, not knowing the words and translation, people sing his songs, dance to them. It was a sensation. A singer of non-Russian origin has such wide popularity and recognition.
Tarkan tried himself as a writer, even released the book "Tarkan: Anatomy of a Star", but he was awarded copyright infringement. The book was withdrawn from circulation.
In 2003, he develops his own label HITT Music, prepares "Dudu", radically changes his image. The changes were of a very philosophical nature.

Personal life
Thanks to his beautiful appearance, there was always a lot of gossip around Tarkan. The yellow press found a reason to convict the star of sins. Once in a magazine there was a photo where he kisses another man.
Everyone immediately assumed that he was gay. The singer strongly denied this, insisting on photoshop. Whether this was a PR move is not known for certain.
The family with Bilge Ozturk did not work out. The musician said that he would be ready to get engaged only when his beloved becomes pregnant from him. Later they broke up, he was alone for a long time.

A talented person, even after a break, continues to bear the proud title of a world star. And this is not an empty phrase, his talent is not quenched.
The tenth anniversary disc was not so original in the title - the laconic "10" showed the usual style of Tarkan, where dance pop and oriental motif are skillfully intertwined.
The artist can truly be called the most successful. The total circulation of sold records is as much as twenty million copies.
He toured not only in European countries, but also visited Russia. The public everywhere warmly perceived the young talent.
