Rock band The Matrixx was created in 2010 by Gleb Rudolfovich Samoilov. The team was created after the collapse of the Agatha Christie group, one of whose frontmen was Gleb. He was the author of most of the songs of the cult band.
The Matrixx is a combination of poetry, performance and improvisation, a symbiosis of darkwave and techno. Thanks to the combination of styles, the music sounds special. The texts are filled with introversion, melancholy, pessimism and "fleur" of aggression. Fans affectionately call Gleb Samoilov "Gothic Prince".

1. Gleb Samoilov (Agatha Christie) - author and composer, soloist, musician. From the pen of a man-legend came out a lot of hits that were leaders of the charts.
2. Dmitry Khakimov Snake ("NAIV") - director of the band, drummer. He was the producer of the Young Guns group, worked with the MED DOG group. He devoted 15 years to the NAIV group.
3. Valery Arkadin ("NAIV") - guitarist, former member of the "Naiv" group.
4. Konstantin Bekrev ("World of Fire", "Agatha Christie") - keyboardist, bass player, backing vocalist. Member of the last line-up of the Agatha Christie group.
How did it all begin?
The first hit, released in 2010, was the song "Nobody Survived". The presentation of the song took place at the radio station "Our Radio". This date is considered the day of the beginning of the countdown of the existence of the group (birthday). On this day, the group regularly performs with festive concerts.
In 2013, it was decided to change the name of the group. It was shortened to The Matrixx.
In March 2016, Bekrev left the group and began working in the team of Grigory Leps.
The first girl came to replace Konstantin in the group, "diluting" the brutal composition. She became Stanislav Matveeva (former member of the 5diez group).
The band's first tour was very controversial regarding the perception of new music by Agatha Christie fans. Most of the people were disappointed that not a single composition from the previous repertoire, which had won the hearts of millions of fans forever, was not played at the concert. However, the acquaintance took place, and unusual music gained a new army of fans.
At the concert, they performed songs from the solo album "Little Fritz", which Gleb Rudolfovich recorded back in 1990.
The first author of the video (the song "No one survived") of the group was Valeria Gai Germanika. It came out in June 2010. Subsequently, several of the band's songs were used in Valeria's series "School".
In October, the premiere of the video for the song "Love" took place. It was broadcast on all the country's music channels, despite the fact that Gleb could not even imagine that such a bold song would "pass the censorship." After the clip, the group began to be perceived as underground and alternative.
The band's debut album
The debut album was the collection "Beautiful is cruel." Fans noted that it was one of the most sincere albums.
In September 2011, the album "Trash" was released. Very meaningful, more aggressive and guitar-driven, with a hysterical and hysterical manner of performance, with which the songwriter tries to convey his thoughts and sincerity. According to Samoilov, three words became defining in the collection: bombs, love and space.
The track "Make bombs" was written together with the popular underground poet Alexei Nikonov. Video clips were shot for three songs from the album.
The number of fans of the group began to increase not only in Russia, but also in Ukraine, Belarus. In 2013, the group went beyond the CIS and performed in India (Goa).
The team pleased the fans with the eclectic album "Alive but Dead". It turned out to be deep, meaningful and difficult to perceive. The moral ugliness of society, loneliness, the antagonism of the crowd and the individual, love, death became the main themes of the album.
In 2015, The Matrixx released their fourth album, Asbestos Massacre. This album differs from the previous compilations with bold musical experiments combined with the general concept of the songs.
2016 was filled with events, including:
- performance on the REN TV channel in the Sol program with Zakhar Prilepin. Linda took part in the filming (as a guest). Together with Gleb, she sang the song "Good Cop" (from the album "Massacre in Asbest"). The group gave a concert "live" on radio "Mayak". It was accompanied by an online broadcast from the studio.
- Speech in the program "Apartment at Margulis" in the format of intimate conversations.
- Live broadcast with video broadcast on the Svoe Radio website. The performance lasted about two hours. Fans enjoyed the live performance of the band.
- Performance with the song "Secret" in the studio of the program "Evening Urgant".
- An enchanting performance at the legendary Invasion festival.
- Participation in the Illuminator program (project in memory of Ilya Kormiltsev).
In 2017, the album "Hello" was released. The genre of the album (according to the author) is gothic-post-punk-rock. It seemed that in the album "death stretches out its hand towards the lyrical hero." Decadence, hopelessness, loneliness run like a red thread through the album.
The Matrixx now
The team has a busy tour schedule with a wide geography of fans (in 2018, a successful US tour took place), and participates in charity events. Releases its own line of clothing with images of the logo or artists. Photos and videos from the band's life can be found on the official Instagram page.
