The childhood and youth of the singer Vladimir Grishko
Vladimir was born on July 28, 1960 in the city of Kyiv. His parents are ordinary workers. The family was large - Vladimir had four older brothers. The mother raised her sons, the father was a military man and was alone engaged in the material support of the family. The family's income was low, and Vladimir often had to wear out his brothers' clothes. But the family lived together and cheerfully.
From an early age, Grishko was fond of music. Instead of pranks on the street, the boy often sat in the room and tried to learn to play the guitar on his own. He almost never parted with this instrument. After school, the boy decided to connect his future life with music. The place of his further study was the Glier Music College in Kyiv. In the 1st year, he studied conducting and playing his favorite instrument - the guitar. And in the 2nd year, he began to vocal.
The first tragedy in Vladimir's life was the death of his father. This happened when the young man was only 18 years old. His only close friend and mentor was his mother. She tried to support her son in his dream of a musical Olympus.
In 1982, Vladimir Grishko graduated from the music school. Wasting no time, he entered the Kyiv State Conservatory named after Pyotr Tchaikovsky, which he successfully graduated in 1989. With a specialty in the diploma "Solo singing, opera and concert singing, music teacher", new opportunities and prospects opened up for the young talent.
The beginning of a musical career
In 1990 he became a post-graduate student of NMAU. And in the same year, Grishko received the first and most important title of Honored Artist of Ukraine for his creative activity.
In 1991 there were new losses. Three beloved people left the life at once - mother, brother Nikolai and stepfather, whom Vladimir managed to accept and fall in love with. The young man was very upset by the tragedy, but continued to confidently move forward, conquering new musical heights.
In 1995, the artist gained well-deserved success. Vladimir Grishko made his debut in the production of the Metropolitan Opera. The audience warmly received the artist from the first performances, and the singer received the first international contracts. His musical activity in the United States ended only in 2008 - he was the soloist in the play "The Gambler".
Even from across the ocean, Vladimir did not forget about the development of domestic opera music and became the producer and author of the Kievan Rus International Festival of Slavic Peoples. The purpose of the event is to unite the culture and spiritual values of the three countries - Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.
The pinnacle of creativity and the peak of popularity of Vladimir Grishka
2005 was a landmark year for the artist. He participated in international projects, one of which was True Symphonic Rockestra. The idea of the project was grandiose - the performance of classical arias in rock style by world-famous opera singers. Grishko sang on the same stage with such celebrities as Thomas Duval, James Labri, Franco Corelli, Maria Bieshu and others.
In the same year, a grandiose concert of opera music took place in Kyiv. On the stage of the National Palace of Arts "Ukraine" Vladimir Grishko sang along with the legend - the unsurpassed Luciano Pavarotti. The maestro became for Vladimir not only a partner on the stage, but also was his teacher, mentor, inspirer and true devoted comrade. It was Pavarotti who persuaded Grishka not to stop only at operatic singing, but to try new levels. With his light hand, the singer began to conquer the domestic stage.
Since 2006, Grishko has become a professor at his native Academy of Music and was the head of the Department of Solo Opera Singing.
In 2007, the artist presented a new project, Faces of the New Opera. Here he successfully combined elements of classical opera and contemporary music with show productions. The aim of the project was to popularize the opera among the inhabitants of their native country. Talented kids could audition for famous artists.
In 2009, Vladimir took the post of Master of the Diplomatic Academy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was head of the Department of Foreign Policy and Diplomacy.
In 2010, the artist participated in a large-scale concert that took place in Scotland and sang on the same stage with such masters as Demis Roussos, Ricchi e Poveri and others.
2011 again pleased Ukrainian fans of the opera. A joint performance of the star of the opera Montserrat Caballe and Vladimir Grishka took place on the national stage. All the media discussed this event for a long time. After the sensational event, the singer gave a solo concert in May and presented the fans with a new program, Masterpieces of Legendary Hits.

In 2013, the star presented the listeners with two new albums at once, but not opera, but pop, under the names "Prayer" and "Inexplicable". A little later, Vladimir Grishko became a judge of the new musical TV show "Battle of the Choirs", which became popular in Ukraine. In parallel with this project, the musician became a member of the jury in the International Classical Romance Competition, which took place in the UK.
In 2014, a big tour of China took place. There, the maestro successfully performed with more than 20 concerts.
After that, Vladimir Grishka was offered a lucrative contract in the States for 25 years, and he signed it. Now the musician is fruitfully working in America, continuing to develop in the direction of opera singing. The star has more than 30 released albums. He took part in dozens of TV shows and well-known world projects. In addition to the title of People's Artist of Ukraine, Grishko is listed in the Book of Records of Ukraine, awarded the State Prize. In 2004, the singer was an active participant in the Orange Revolution. He managed to visit the status of an adviser to the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko. He held the position from 2005 to 2009. Then he served as Deputy Head of the State Humanitarian Service under the President. In addition to state affairs, Grishka and Viktor Yushchenko have a long-term friendship, and they are godfathers.
Personal life of the singer
The singer does not talk much about his life outside the stage. He has a loving wife Tatyana, with whom Vladimir has been together for more than 20 years. The couple is raising three children. The artist met his wife by chance - he met a tall, attractive blonde in the parking lot.
When trying to get acquainted, the girl simply “rejected” the persistent gentleman. But he did not give up and sent the girl an invitation card to his performance, and she accepted it. Then romantic meetings began, and subsequently a wedding. The couple maintained sincere and warm feelings, trying to set an example of a good family for their children.
