The band's unusual and distinctive name comes from the area code, 303, which is the area code for Denver, where they lived.

The group enjoyed huge popularity thanks to the song Don't Trust Me ("Don't trust me"), which was released as part of the album Want in 2009. The total sales of the single amounted to 3 million copies.

Sean Foreman has been married to his college girlfriend Melanie Mary Knigg for a long time. Nathaniel Mott announced on Instagram in 2016 that he had proposed to his girlfriend, Liz Trinner.
