The leader and future frontman of the band Dryden Mitchell decided to follow in the footsteps of his outstanding father. Dryden often took his father's guitar, playing chords. He later composed songs on his own.

The rest of the Alien Ant Farm band played in their own band. The musicians covered the songs of the popular band Primus. Self-taught dreamed of a professional career.

However, none of this outstanding trio understood which direction to move in order to take the top of the musical Olympus.

Soon the fourth member Dryden Mitchell joined the team. Among the musical preferences of the resulting quartet is drummer Mike Cosgrove's sympathy for the work of Michael Jackson, which served Alien Ant Farm a good service.

For a long time the quartet was in search of its "I". At first, the musicians “breathed” by creating cover versions of popular rock songs.

The musicians played their first serious performance based on their own material at Mitchell's birthday party. This event happened in June 1996. Since then, the legendary four have not parted.

In the same 1996, the musicians decided that it was time to choose a name that would unite them. So, a new star “lit up” in the music industry, whose name is Alien Ant Farm, which means “Alien Ant Farm” or “Alien Ant Hill”.

Terence Corso came up with the name for the new band. The musician shared with the rest of the participants his opinion that perhaps humanity is the creation of unearthly creatures.

Release of Alien Ant Farm's debut album

In 1999, the band had a rich concert experience behind them. All three years the musicians performed on stage non-stop. This allowed them to hone their skills and find the very zest that would distinguish the work of the Alien Ant Farm group from the background of other rock bands.

In 1999, the group's discography was replenished with the first Greatest Hits album. The musicians had high hopes for the collection, and as a result, the album did not disappoint the band's expectations. It was nominated for "Best Independent Album" at the LA Music Awards.

Around the same time period, the group received an offer from the cult band Papa Roach. The guys offered to record a second studio album at their recording studio. It is noteworthy that the musicians were familiar before this proposal. The Alien Ant Farm band performed at the Papa Roach team "on heating".

ANThology's second record was produced by Jay Baumgardner, who has worked with such iconic bands as Papa Roach, Slipknot, Orgy. The album officially went on sale in 2001 and was remembered by the general public for the super-successful resuscitation of the legendary hit of the aforementioned Michael Jackson Smooth Criminal.

Soon the musicians went on a big European tour ANThology. But a year later the tour had to be cancelled. The fact is that the vehicle in which the team moved from Luxembourg to Lisbon got into a car accident. She was very serious. The driver died on the spot, and the soloists of the Alien Ant Farm group were seriously injured.

In the period 2003-2006. the musicians presented two more collections Truant (2003) and Up in the Attic (2006). Both works were highly acclaimed by music critics and warmly received by fans.

Alien Ant Farm today

In 2015, Alien Ant Farm's discography was replenished with a new album, Always and Forever. The collection includes 13 worthy tracks.

The main hits of the collection were musical compositions: Yellow Pages, Let Em Know and Little Things (Physical). From 2016 to 2017 the musicians were on a big tour. In 2016, the band took part in the Make America Rock Again Super Tour.
