The first album can be considered ABC (1982). It included the famous composition Date Stamp. Immediately after that, the team started working on the next project, participating in two adjacent ones.

In 1983, the musicians worked on the album Come Back Back 90125. In this release, for the first time, you can hear the sound of percussion instruments performed through a sequencer.

In 1983, there was a complete formation of the team. Paul Morley was not only involved in the promotion of each track, but also was the author of numerous ideas for the group.

The first projects of the formed team of Art Of Nois

With this line-up they recorded the Art of Noise EP. Some details were taken from the previous release. This project began to be promoted through ZTT.

Beat Box was considered the most popular and successful single of the new project. This instrumental track has been used in various TV shows. Before the release of the full-fledged release, there was no mention of the composition of the team. At first, the guys did not perform on open stages.

In 1984 the band released Who's Afraid of the Art of Noise?. The team released a 10-minute song about love and pure relationships. Subsequently, it was used at the Madonna's wedding. This is the track A Moment of Love, which has become the soundtrack to a significant number of films. Composers created remixes.

In 1984, an interview appeared in Smash Hits. In it, the creators of the team announced that they were already ready for performances. The development of the group is based on the re-release of the main compositions, including Video Killed the Radio Star.

The split and the fate of the Art of Noise collective before the collapse

In 1985, Langan, Dudley and Yechalik decided to separate from the remaining guys. They started working with China Records. The trio left along with the band's name. The musicians continued to work under the well-known name.

Immediately after the breakup, they released a new CD, In Visible Silence. The collection includes the famous composition Peter Gunn. This track was the reason for the presentation of the Grammy Award to the team. A clip was made a little later.

Gradually, the team switched to reworking various tracks. In 1987 they released In No Sense? Nonsense! Despite some successes, membership in the collective was reduced to the interaction of Ann and Jay. The 1987 album included small compositions that became relatively popular in discos.

This period is marked by the fact that the team created several compositions for various films. But the Dragnet track really stood out. It was created for a show that had an identical name.

Beginning in 1987, the team began to actively perform in public. It was at this time that the guys decided to take off their masks.

To increase interest, the team collaborated with T. Jones on a one-time basis. True, this action did not lead to the desired effect. Here you can select just The Best of the Art of Noise. This track was memorized and played on many venues.

In 1989, the album Below the Waste was released. Unfortunately, this experiment was unsuccessful. As a result, a year later, the team made a fateful decision to end its activities.

Recent attempts at reform

After the breakup, the guys continued their creative activity. Many of the songs ended up in compilations. Alternately, they collaborated with various well-known artists, such as Deborah Harry.

Gradually, the guys decided to try to renew the existence of the team. In 1998, they revived their joint work. This period was marked by the fact that L. Krim joined the team. The guitarist brought some freshness to the work.

During this period of existence, they recorded several interesting tracks, among which Way Out West can be distinguished. But the reorganization and reform did not give significant success. After the album Influence, released in 2010, the group finally disbanded.

Over the past years, they have come together several times to participate in separate projects. They reunited for concerts once. Immediately after this or that performance, the musicians continued to do their own thing.

In 2017, they got together to support The Human League. The musicians were distinguished by the fact that they began to perform compositions from 1986.

Thus, despite the fact that the team had some success, creativity was far from cloudless. Different views on the development of the group and on the repertoire did not allow active work for decades. Now they can only be heard on records and in one-off projects.
