Alexey Kotlov, aka DJ Dozhdik, is well known to the youth of Tatarstan. The young performer became popular in 2000. First, he presented to the public the track "Why", and then the hit "Why".
Childhood and youth of Alexei Kotlov
Alexey Kotlov was born on the territory of Tatarstan, in the small provincial town of Menzelinsk. The boy grew up in a modest family. His musical talent did not show up immediately.
Like all the guys, Lyosha attended kindergarten, and then went to school. During his school years, he became interested in dancing, as the class teacher in the past was a professional choreographer.
Alexei was not an excellent student, although he studied well. After graduating from high school, he became a student at the Pedagogical University. The soul did not lie to study, but there was no choice, since the parents could not pay for their studies at another university.
Kotlov graduated from the Pedagogical University with a degree in teacher of labor, physical education and drawing. By profession, he did not want to work.
During his student years, he continued to perform on stage. True, this is not about music, but about dancing. Kotlov waltzed along with his classmate.
Since 1999, Alexei has worked at the House of Culture in Menzelinsk. What only a young man did not do to feed himself. He worked as a janitor, disco host, DJ, sound engineer, film studio director.
By the way, the last position suited him for the time being, until the inner “I” suggested that he should move on.
Alexey Kotlov worked at the House of Culture for three years. There he learned to play the piano, guitar, percussion and harmonica.
The young man discovered another talent in himself - he played musical instruments well, knew how to compose melodies and sing beautifully.
Like many of his peers, Kotlov took up the guitar, and together with his friends began to play music and compose his own songs. Music captivated the young man so much that he first began to think about whether he should go on stage as a performer?
Creative way and songs of DJ Rain
In the summer of 2000, Alexei Kotlov presented the musical composition "Why". This track appeared literally in a dream. The musician suffered from insomnia. Then, having nothing to do, he began to write a verse, which grew into a song.
For the first time, DJ Dozhdik presented the track "Why" at a local disco. Interestingly, in the same 2000, he was just preparing to enter a law school.
Alexei recalled that, while working part-time at discos, he held a textbook in one hand, and directed the process of the party with the other. By the way, the young man never entered the educational institution.
In the fall, the singer presented the track "Why". With this musical composition, he "hit the bull's-eye." They began to be interested in Alexei Kotlov, they talked about him, and enjoyed his track.
On the wave of popularity, the performer accumulated material for the release of his debut album.
The next track "Rains" got into rotation on one local radio in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny (the largest city in Tatarstan closest to Menzelinsk). At that time, the whole Menzelinsk loved the song “Why”, but they did not give it to the Chelny stations.
Since the beginning of the rotation of the artist's tracks in Naberezhnye Chelny, there have been misunderstandings between Menzelinsky and Chelny fans of Kotlov - where is Lyokha from Naberezhnye Chelny or from Menzelinsk. The arguments often escalated into fights.
But a big dispute awaited Kotlov ahead. Alexey brought the musical composition "Why" to the radio of Naberezhnye Chelny. Radio DJs appreciated the track and immediately realized that they had a real hit in front of them.
They re-recorded the song and released it to radio under their own name. DJs performed with this track on the territory of Tatarstan. In fact, they stole material that never belonged to them.
Interestingly, the scammers began to put pressure on Alexei in every possible way. They asked to recognize the author of the track that he himself gave them the song "Why". This misunderstanding greatly discredited the reputation of the young performer.
At the moment, the network has at least 20 versions of the track "Why". Cover versions, parodies, female and male versions. Members of the group "Min no" even worked on the track.
By this time, the performer acted as Alexei Kotlov and the X-Boys group, which included an MC and backup dancers. In this composition, the stars toured Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Udmurtia, Samara region, Bashkiria, Mariyka, Chuvashia. Most of the performances were held on the territory of nightclubs.
In 2002, in his homeland, Alexei recorded all the tracks on one disc at the studio of Yuri Belousov. According to Kotlov, the tour was already tired, the soloists of the X-Boys musical group left for the army one after another, and Kotlov decided to move on, but alone.
Before the New Year holidays, Kotlov wrote a letter of resignation from the House of Culture.
The musical composition "Why" began to make way for the young musician. It is easier to list countries and cities where this track has not been played.
Alexei began to receive calls from producers. However, the young man was not satisfied with any offer. At that time, Kotlov had already accumulated enough material to release his debut album.
In 2006, the DJ Dozhdik group consisted of the following soloists: Denis Sattarov, Evgeny Modestov, Nikita Svinin, Sergey Molkov and Alexei Kotlov. It was in this line-up that the guys presented their debut disc “Why”.
In total, the album included 13 musical compositions. The tracks deserve considerable attention: “Not with you”, “Ballad”, “Tramp”, “We love those”, “Unknown distances”, “Wait a little” and “Forgive me”.
Interestingly, the artist's discography is empty. However, fans do not let Alexei Kotlov get bored. They post amateur videos from the artist's concerts and edit them to their taste.

Alexey Kotlov managed to acquire a loving wife and children. His fans began to panic, where did the favorite performer of their youth disappear to?
In fact, DJ Dozhdik has not disappeared anywhere and is not going to leave the stage. He still gives his concerts, however, manages the provincial cities.
The singer has an Instagram page. True, about 7 thousand users are subscribed to it. The artist's popularity has declined.
