Sergey Babkin became famous thanks to his participation in the reggae group 5'nizza. The performer lives in Kharkov. He has lived all his life in Ukraine, which he is very proud of.
Sergei was born on November 7, 1978 in Kharkov. The boy was brought up in an intelligent family. Mom worked as a teacher in a kindergarten, and dad was a military man.
It is known that parents raised their younger brother Sergei, who decided to follow in the footsteps of his father. He held the position of Major.
Before Sergey Babkin went to school, he went to dance lessons, played the flute and was engaged in drawing. Mom wanted her son to reveal his creative potential, and then be able to choose "the road he wants to move" in life.
Babkin was No. 1 when it came to school performances or KVN. He took acting lessons. The boy has always been independent, and therefore at the age of 12 he earned money by washing cars.
Despite his busy schedule, Sergei Babkin had enough time to master playing musical instruments. He soon taught himself to play the guitar. The young man was inspired by the work of the musical groups Bravo, Chizh & So.
After graduating from the 9th grade, the young man had the opportunity to enter a music school at the department of wind instruments or at a military school at the faculty of conducting. However, Babkin chose to study at the theater lyceum.
The beginning of the artist's career
A little later, Sergei was finally convinced that he wanted to “break into” art, so he entered the Kharkov Theater Institute. I. Kotlyarevsky to the acting department.
Studying at the institute inspired Babkin for the first, albeit small, victories. At the institute, Babkin was friends with his fellow student Andrei Zaporozhets. Actually, with him the young man began to play his musical instruments.
Andrei and Sergei began to compose musical compositions that they played with pleasure at student skits and parties. Sergey played the role of the man of the orchestra, and Andrey was the soloist.
Without modesty in his voice, Sergei Babkin said that he was one of the best students in his class. As a 2nd year student, he took 1st place in a reading competition.
Sergey worked in productions of famous directors. Moreover, he received the first roles in the theater. A. S. Pushkin. Around the same time, he made his film debut.
For several years, Sergei Babkin worked in the popular nightclub Mask. The young man delighted the audience with a mimic number. It was very comical, and at the same time Sergey honed his acting skills.
Sergey Babkin played his thesis work in the original play “I praise Khulia!” at the Theater 19. By the way, after graduating from a higher educational institution, the young man went to work there.
Participation of Sergei Babkin in the group "5'nizza"
Babkin and Zaporozhets created the group back in the mid-1990s. However, the concept name appeared only in the early 2000s.
Sergei and Andrei were walking around the city together with their friends, when the name "Red Friday" suddenly came to mind. A little later, the musicians decided to remove the adjective. Actually, the final version sounded like 5'nizza.
The release of the debut album was not long in coming. Interestingly, the musicians recorded 15 tracks in less than a few hours. The first album was written at the M.ART recording studio.
The cover design for the debut album was printed on yellow paper. Sergey and Andrey cut out the first covers with their own hands.
There were many more pirated copies of the debut album, but it was for the best. The tracks quickly became popular, and unknown guys got the first "portion" of popularity.
Band at the festival KaZantip
A few years later, the name of the Ukrainian group thundered at the KaZantip music festival. The performers performed on the main stage. From that moment on, they gained a genuine interest in their work.
The first collections of musicians were bought up by residents of the CIS. We should pay tribute to Eduard Shumeiko, the founder of the WK?. group, who "promoted" the duet's music. In 2002, he even organized concerts of the Ukrainian team in the capital of Russia.
From now on, the duo performed not only on the territory of their native Ukraine and the CIS countries, but also began touring in foreign countries. The musical compositions of the duet often occupied the top of the charts.
The musical compositions "Neva", "Spring", "Soldier" have become the hallmarks of the Ukrainian reggae band. Photos of Andrey and Sergey were published in glossy magazines. The guys consolidated their popularity with the release of their second album "O5".
The popularity of the team increased, so no one could have predicted that the duo would soon break up.
The fact is that Zaporozhets wanted to introduce something new into the group, namely to expand it. Babkin, on the contrary, insisted on preserving the team in its original form.
In 2007, Babkin announced the breakup of the group. In mid-June of the same year, Babkin and Zaporozhets performed for the last time. The farewell concert took place in the capital of Poland.
In 2015, the dream of many fans came true. Babkin and Zaporozhets joined forces.
The group "Friday" presented to music lovers a mini-collection, which was called I Believe in You. The top compositions of the disc were the tracks "Ale", "Forward".
Solo career Sergey Babkin
As part of the Friday group, Sergey recorded several solo albums. It is noteworthy that the solo collections were very different from the repertoire of the reggae band.
On his anniversary (30 years), Sergei Babkin presented a solo album, which was called "Hurrah!". Fans were delighted with the composition "Take me to your place."
Here, Babkin used a very interesting manner of speaking - a man performed barefoot on stage. This added to his performance of comfort and some intimacy.
A year later, the solo discography was replenished with the plates "Bis!" and "Son". Sergey Babkin released the last collection in honor of the birth of his son.
In the same period of time, Sergei Babkin began to form musicians around himself. The performer's team included: clarinetist Sergei Savenko, pianist Efim Chupakhin, bass player Igor Fadeev, drummer Konstantin Shepelenko.
The original composition of the Ukrainian singer's instrumentalists expanded in 2008. And all through the use of accordion and acoustic guitar.

Creation of the CPSU community
In 2008, Sergey Babkin created a community of musicians, which received the original name "KPSS" or "KPSS". You can not look for anything symbolic in the name - these are nothing more than the first letters of the names of the participants in the musical association.
The CPSU team included: Kostya Shepelenko, Petr Tseluiko, Stanislav Kononov and, respectively, Sergey Babkin. The musicians worked together for four years. During the performance, Sergei also used his acting skills.
Each performance of the CPSU group turned into a small theatrical performance. Artists of the symphony orchestra were involved in recording the collection "Outside and Inside".
In 2013, the artist gave his fans a new album "Sergevna", which Sergey Babkin dedicated to his newborn daughter. A few years later, Babkin presented the solo program "#Don't Kill" to fans. 2015 was marked by active concert activity.
Theater and films
Babkin has repeatedly said that he is a theater actor. The artist has been working in the theater since the early 1990s. "Emigrants", "Paul I", "Doors", "Chmo" and "Our Hamlet" are the most significant works for Babkin.
Sergei managed to act on the "big screen". He took part in the filming of films: "Russian" and "Radio Day". In 2009, Sergei played a major role in the film "Rejection".
In 2014, he played a role in the film “Alexander Dovzhenko. Odessa dawn. The main role in the film was entrusted to play the wife of Babkin - Snezhana.
Personal life of Sergei Babkin
The first wife of Sergei Babkin was Lilia Rotan. However, soon the young people parted, because they did not agree on the characters. Although Lilia believes that the wild life of her ex-husband was the reason for the divorce. In 2005, a woman gave birth to Babkin's son.
The second wife was Snezhana Vartanyan. The couple legalized their relationship in 2007. The girl already had a child from her first marriage, but this did not stop the couple from building a strong relationship.
In 2010, the family became larger, since Sergei and Snezhana had a daughter, who was named Veselina. In 2019, Snezhana gave birth to a son from a man.
Snezhana and Sergey Babkin work in the theatre. In addition, the woman maintains her own blog. Often in her posts there are many photos with her husband. Babkin supports his wife. Snezhana is a frequent "guest" of her husband's video clips.

In 2017, the Voice of the Country project was launched on Ukrainian television. Sergey Babkin took the place of a mentor in this show. For an artist, participation in the project is a completely new experience. His team did a great job.
In 2018, Babkin expanded his discography with the Muzasfera album. Almost every track on this record is a small positive.
"God given" and "11 children from Morshyn" became the real highlights of the disc. The singer released video clips for some of the tracks.
2018-2019 Sergei Babkin spent in the theater and at concerts. After the presentation of the collection "Muzasfera", the artist consolidated his success with a small tour of the cities of Ukraine.
