Esthetic Education is a rock band from Ukraine. She has worked in areas such as alternative rock, indie rock and Britpop. Team members:
- Y. Khustochka played bass, acoustic and simple guitars. He was also a backing vocalist;
- Dmitry Shurov played keyboard instruments, vibraphone, mandolin. The same member of the team was engaged in programming, harmonium, percussion and metallophone;
- the vocalist, who played the synthesizer and did programming, was Louis Franck;
- back vocalist and guitarist I. Glushko;
- from 2004 to 2006 the drummer was A. Shmargun;
- since 2006, A. Nadolsky has been sitting at the drums.
Historical information about the group
The team began its history in 2004. The international team was created by a director who was fond of photography, L. Frank. At that time, the Belgian lived in London.
Together with the former members of the Okean Elzy group, Shurov and vocalist Khustochka, the Esthetic Education group was founded. The founder lived not so much in London as in Moscow. This is due to the fact that his wife D. Korzun lived there.
Work at the primary stage of existence
In December, the band's first album, Face Reading, was released. The band members said that the album was created quickly.
But the final version appeared after 6 months. The fact is that the group was still unplayed, they did not understand each other. Yes, and work on the first project was carried out at home.
Already at the end of the first year of existence, the team went to the first round. They worked in London, Paris, Leeds and Rene. Interestingly, after the performance in Splitz, one of the compositions of the young band got into the Splitz Live Record collection of songs.
Team in 2005-2006
A meteoric rise began after the band was invited to play as the opening act for performances by DJ Moby. Immediately after that, they took part in the Exit festival, which was held in Serbia.
In addition, they often performed in the capital of the Russian Federation. There they could be seen in clubs and entertainment events at various festivals.
Already in the fall of 2005, the famous composition Leave Us Alone / Machine appeared. The first two songs took the leading positions in the music ratings not only in Ukraine, but also in Russia. At this time, the team held its big tour of the cities of Ukraine. The last concert took place on February 10, 2006. In the institution "Ring" (Kyiv) there was a real full house.
During the tour, all songs were recorded. Ultimately, in the summer of 2006, the second album, Live At Ring, appeared. This record was assembled by London specialist Dominic Brets.
In the summer, the composition "Vasil Vasiltsiv" appeared, which was dedicated to the performer Lvov Vasily Vasiltsiv. The fact is that the work of this musician amazed the members of the team. I. Chichkan (Ukrainian artist) shot a video clip for this composition.
The Unbelievable soundtrack was created for the film Orange Love. The film was directed by Alan Badoev.
Creativity of the group in 2007
First, the guys created a new record in the capital of England. At the same time, the leader of the group returned to London. At the same time, Shurov began to visit Zemfira's studio and participate in her tour of Russia.
In April, the band showed their fans the Werewolf album. The musicians believed that this was already a real album, which they thought through to the smallest detail. In June, the disc hit the shelves in Russia.
The album was presented in Kyiv. They decided to hold a concert on the territory of the Green Theatre, about which there are many mystical legends and rumors. But the atmosphere only emphasized the peculiarity of the compositions.
The summer turned out to be very busy. In particular, the team first visited the Maxidrom festival. Then the guys performed before the famous band My Chemical Romance took the stage.
In addition, the guys took part in Zemfira's concert, which was held at the Orange club in St. Petersburg. Another important event was attending the Sziget event, which was held in Budapest. Here the team worked with famous performers of the world.
In 2007, the guys organized a magnificent and unique show "Antena". This event consisted of a screen placed above the stage showing a silent movie. At the same time, the musicians voiced the film with their compositions.
2008 year
This year has been the final one. The guys stopped their activities without warning. At the beginning of the year, they released the song With you.
After that, activity began to subside. Gradually, the team stopped working on joint projects. They did not announce their breakup.
The fate of the musicians
Back in 2007, vocalist Frank participated in the creation of the composition of the Bi-2 group. They recorded the song "Radio Vietnam". In the last year of his existence as a Ukrainian band, he recorded the song Basket Case.
The album was recorded under the name Johnny Bardo. Frank became the creator of the unique Atlantis project, this happened in 2013. Already in September, Frank presented this project at the Jazz Koktebel festival.
Shurov began to work on a solo program. In particular, he created the Pianoboi group. Since 2009, he has given concerts as part of the band.
At the heart of his work were his personal solo compositions. In addition, Dmitry did not stop his cooperation with Zemfira. He performed with the famous rock singer as a keyboardist.
Music in films
The guys recorded several soundtracks. In particular, their compositions sounded in such films as: "Little Red Riding Hood", "M + F", "Old Man Hottabych", etc.
Thus, the team, which was able to become popular in a matter of months, broke up a few years after its creation.
The band members began to realize themselves as solo performers. In addition, they worked with performers who worked in the same direction.
Despite the collapse, the band's compositions still sound today. They hit the charts, etc. Fans continue to listen to the songs of this Ukrainian band.
