Parents noticed that their daughter loves to sing. Mom took Yana to a music school, where the girl captivated the teachers with the performance of Natalie's song "The wind blew from the sea."
At the music school, the future star Jerry Heil studied until the age of 15. After receiving a certificate, the girl became a student at the Kyiv Institute of Music. R. M. Gliera.
But it did not work out with a higher educational institution. The girl left her studies after the second year. The reason was banal - according to Yana, the teachers very limited her and tried to put her in the frame. Her vocals "begged to be released".
Despite this, the girl managed to keep her love for academic music. Her favorite composer was Francis Poulenc, whose compositions amazed Yana with the combination of the sound of an orchestra and a choir.
After Shemaeva left the walls of the educational institution, she continued to study, but already remotely. Yana took inspiration from her favorite singers - Keane, Coldplay and Woodkid.
