History of the creation of the collective
The Finnish heavy metal band dates back to 2003. Jonne Järvel and Maaren Aikio are at the origins of the musical project. The musicians already had experience of working in front of the public. The duo performed at local restaurants. In 2003, Maaren announced to his partner that he was leaving. Jonne decided to form the Korpiklaani group.

In 2011, the group's discography was replenished with another collection. We are talking about the longplay Ukon Wacka. Many have described the record as lyrics from a heavy metal band in Finnish.
By the release of the eighth studio album Manala, the sound content of the tracks became more intense. And the texts have acquired a poetic character. The songs included in the collection are connected by one plot.
In 2016, a video was released on DVD, in which the musicians performed at the Live at Masters of Rock festival in the Czech Republic. "Fans" appreciated the gift of their idols, because this is a great opportunity to see how the soloists of their favorite band behave outside the recording studio.
The Korpiklaani group at the present time
The group's new LP was released only in 2016. It was then that the presentation of the collection Kulkija took place, which included 14 tracks. In the disc, the musicians touched on the theme of love. According to the old tradition, the musicians went on tour to support the collection.
In 2019, the band members continued to tour. Then there was information that they were preparing a new album. Most likely, the presentation of the disc will take place in 2021. The musicians noted that the new LP will be in the genres of folk metal and yoik. Also, the "fans" became aware that the new studio album, which will be released in 2021, will be presented under the name Jylhä. The album will include 13 tracks.
