In 2018, he participated in the National selection "Eurovision" from Ukraine. Then he failed to win. He made a second attempt a year later. We hope that in 2022 the dream of the singer to represent Ukraine at the international competition will come true.

Childhood and youth of Vladislav Karashchuk

The artist's date of birth is October 14, 1997. He was born in the very heart of Ukraine - Kyiv. Vlad was lucky to spend his childhood in a primordially intelligent, and most importantly, creative family.

The father is an honored clarinetist, and the mother is a pianist, piano teacher - they developed their son as much as possible. They instilled in the boy a love of music. Vlad continued the "family business". By the way, Karashchuk's grandparents were also musicians.

Since childhood, he has taken part in various music competitions and festivals. Often, a guy returned from such events with a prize. "Slavianski Bazaar" and "Children's New Wave" are just a small part of the musical events in which Vlad Karashchuk took part.

The producers of the "New Wave" from among all the participants spotted a Ukrainian performer. They began to invite him to perform at their own concerts. He got the chance to sing in a duet with Ivan Dorn and Dima Bilan.

Karashchuk attended private lessons, and then entered a music school. The guy had a burning desire to learn how to play the guitar. By the way, he also took part in guitar competitions. Vlad got frantic pleasure from playing a stringed instrument.

Vlad did pretty well in school. After receiving a matriculation certificate, the young man went to the Kiev Institute of Music named after R. M. Glier, choosing the vocal department for himself. Interestingly, both parents graduated from the same educational institution. Note that during this period of time he studied at the branch of the American Music Academy.

The creative path of the singer LAUD

In 2016, he became a member of the rating Ukrainian project "Voice of the Country". Vlad was doubly lucky when he got into the team Ivan Dorn. Throughout the project, Vladislav was the clear favorite of the Voice of the Country. According to the voting results, he took 2nd place.

After participating in the project, he signs a contract with Tarnopolsky. Actually, then the artist began to perform under the already well-known creative pseudonym LAUD. The debut performance of the singer took place in early May 2017 at the DC. Then he warmed up the audience before Jamala's performance.

During this period of time on the label Enjoy! Records premiered the artist's debut single. The composition was called "Wu Qiu Nich". On the wave of popularity, he introduced two more new tracks - "Don't Lick" and "Vigadav".

Full length album release

The end of October 2018 is marked by the release of a full-length album. Longplay "Music", the tracklist of which was topped by as many as 12 pieces of music, was warmly received by critics and fans of the artist.

In the same year, the Ukrainian performer took part in the National selection "Eurovision". He presented the track Waiting to the jury and the audience. He managed to convince the audience, and according to the voting results, he took 1st place. But, in 2018, Melovin went from Ukraine.

A year later, he re-applied for participation in the National Selection. The composition "2 Days" made a proper impression on the audience, but Vlad did not "hold out" for the victory a little. Recall that Ukraine did not take part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv.

For this period of time, he has released 5 clips: “U Qiu Nich”, “Don't Leave”, “Waiting”, “Vigadav” and “Podolyanochka”. The number of fans of the artist is constantly growing.

LAUD: details of personal life

In 2018, he was in a relationship with Alina Kosenko. The girl also works in show business. Today, he prefers not to talk about personal things, so the artist's "heart matters" remain a mystery to fans.

LAUD: our days

In the summer, Vlad presented a "juicy" video for the track "Poseidon". The main character of the work was the charming Sasha Chistova. Some time later, Dirty Dancing was released.

In 2021, Vlad pleased with the release of a new album. The release was called DUAL. The collection is topped by 9 cool tracks. The sound producer of most of the compositions was the musician Dmitry Nechepurenko aka DredLock. The concert presentation of the collection will take place in mid-February 2022 at the Caribbean Club (Kyiv).

Participation in the selection for Eurovision

Also in the fall, he said that he was not going to take part in the National selection "Eurovision". He spoke about this in a comment, which was published on October 26 on the Muzvar project page on Instagram.

But, in 2022, it turned out that LAUD will still take part in the National Selection. In total, 27 Ukrainian artists were on the list of those wishing to represent Ukraine. The names of 8 participants who reached the final will be announced by the organizers soon. The final is scheduled for February 12th.

However, LAUD did not make it to the final of the National Selection. Alas, the artist violated the rules of the competition. The piece of music with which he planned to represent Ukraine has been “walking” on the network since 2018. The performer himself did not publish the composition, it was made by the songwriter who wrote the track. Vlad was replaced by an artist Barleben.

“According to the rules, the tracks that claim to win could not be released before September 1, 2021. If the composition appeared earlier, the performer must finalize it, and under copyright law it is already a different composition. We've been working on Head Under Water for several years. For all the time, different versions of the composition were recorded.
