Over the years of their creative career, the band has released an impressive number of worthy albums. The musicians of the group worked in the genres of bard rock and art rock. Today "Dead Rooster" is not just a cool team from the city of Lviv, but a real Ukrainian history.

Creativity of the group is original and unique. It is saturated with ethnic mood. Often the musicians performed music to the words of Ukrainian poets. Songs based on poems by Taras Shevchenko, Yury Andrukhovych and Maxim Rylsky sounded especially “delicious” in their performance.

The history of the creation and composition of the team "Dead Piven"

The team was formed in 1989 on the territory of Lviv. One of the most beautiful Ukrainian cities welcomed young and energetic students with open arms. The guys, who have been “living” with music for a long time, went to the cafe “Old Lvov” on Valovaya. They decided to join forces and create a group.

By the way, this institution not only became the birthplace of a new Ukrainian team, but also gave the project a name. At the entrance to the "Old Lviv" someone once hung a weather vane - an iron cockerel. When the guys began to think about how to name their brainchild, they remembered the farm bird that met them at the entrance to the cafe.

  • Lubomir "Lyubko", "Futor" Futorsky;
  • Roman "Romko Segal" Seagull;
  • Mikhail "Misko" Barbara;
  • Yarina Yakubyak;
  • Yuri Chopik;
  • Roman "Romko" Ros.

As it should be for almost any team, the composition has changed several times. The Dead Rooster group once included: Andrey Pidkivka, Oleg Suk, Andrey Pyatakov, Serafim Pozdnyakov, Vadim Balayan, Andrey Nadolsky and Ivan Heavenly.

In the 2010s, the team practically ceased to play in the original composition. One of the leaders of the team, Misko Barbara, told reporters that he had stopped communicating with the members of the Dead Rooster.

The creative path of the team "Dead Piven"

The musicians held their debut concert a year after the founding of the group. They performed at the fest "Dislocation" (Ukrainian "Vivih"). "Dead Rooster" started out as an acoustic group, but over time, the style of the musicians has changed markedly.

In 1991, the team's discography was replenished with a debut LP. He got the name "Eto". Before that, the team took first place at the Chervona Ruta festival.

A couple of years later, the musicians present their next studio album to the “fans”. We are talking about the collection "Dead Piven '93". The record was topped by 15 cool tracks. The songs "Frenchman's Wound", "Kolo" and "Koliskova for Nazar" sounded especially "delicious".

In support of the record, the guys pleased the fans with performances. A year later, the collection "Underground Zoo (1994) Live in studio" was released. The album was topped by 13 tracks. The musicians recorded the LP on the Gal Records label. In general, the work received high marks from the "fans". The musical work "Ranok/Ukrmolod Bakhusovі" was re-recorded the following year in the LP "Live near Lvov". A year later, the band's discography was enriched with the album IL Testamento.

At the end of the 90s, the team presented several full-length studio albums at once - "Misky God Eros" and "Shabadabad". The musical compositions "Potsilunok", "Tapestry" and "Karkolomni perevtilennya" were included in the CD "Shabadabad". The first name was given by a poem by Viktor Neborak. The guys “borrowed” the name for the next masterpiece from Sasha Irvanets.

In the same period of time, the musicians announced a promotional tour with club venues in Lviv, Kyiv and Ivano-Frankivsk. They even performed on the Big Boys Club stage, where people of non-traditional sexual orientation gathered.

Creativity of the group in the new millennium

With the advent of the "zero" - the guys did not stop working hard. In 2003, their discography was replenished with the LP "Aphrodisiaki" (with the participation of Viktor Morozov). As a result of the cooperation of "fathers and sons", a chic program was born, which is a real colorful Lviv product. The tracks “Our winter”, “Dzhulbars”, “Chuyesh, mila” and “Music, what has gone” were sung by fans from different parts of Ukraine with pleasure.

In 2006, the release of the album “Pistes of the Dead Pivnya” took place, and a couple of years later the musicians presented the LPs “Criminal Sonnets” (together with Yuri Andrukhovych) and “Vibranium by the People”.

In 2009, the musicians presented the collection "Made in SA". The album "Made in UA" with selected songs on the verses of Yuri Andrukhovych is one of the most long-awaited albums of 2009. The tracks of this collection are recorded in different genres. The collection was published specially for the 20th anniversary of the group.

"Made in UA" was recorded at the Kharkov recording studio M-ART. Misko Barbara commented:

“This album has a variety of genres. Each track has a unique and inimitable sound. When we play American rock treble, some old style guitar is playing. When it comes to Argentine melodies, then accordingly there is a Latin American sound ... ".

Presentation of the new album and the collapse of the group "Dead Piven"

In 2011, Dead Piven presented the album Radio Aphrodite. For this period of time (2021) - the disc is considered the last one in the group's discography.

The band's tenth full-length album almost entirely consists of rehashings of a wide variety of songs. By the way, this is one of the few long-plays in which there are no songs to the words of Yuri Andrukhovych.

The name “Radio Aphrodite” was not chosen by the Dead Piven team by chance, since the UPA radio station worked behind this name in 1943. She conveyed information to the world about the state of the uprising on the territory of Ukraine.

In 2011, the legendary team ceased to exist. This happened after Misko Barbara, without official explanation, entered the stage of the FortMisia and Zahid fests, accompanied by new musicians.
