However, his plans changed when the family moved to the city of Rennes in 1978, famous for its musical concerts and world stars Niagara and Etienne Dao. There Pascal realized that his future life would be connected with music.

The development of the musical career of Pascal Obispo

The first disc was released in 1990 under the title Le long du fleuve. But then it did not cause a furore and turned out to be almost a “failure”. Two years later, the musician released his second disc, which became a sensation. The most popular track was the song Plus Que Tout Au Monde, the album was also called.

As part of the "promotion" of the disc, tours of the native state were organized. And at the end of 1993, the singer performed on the main Parisian stage.

Unleashing the potential of Pascal Obispo

In 1994, Pascal released a follow-up disc, Un Jour Comme Aujourd'hui. He delighted the fans. In his support, the singer went on tour in France. He visited many schools with his performances. At the same time, in 1995, he wrote a composition for his companion Zazi called Zen, which became the anthem for the French. Followed by a series of concerts with world stars such as Celine Dion.

In 1996, with the support of Lionel Florence and Jacques Lanzmann, the next Superflu record was released, the sales of which broke records. In a few weeks, listeners bought 80 discs. Sales were constantly increasing, which led to the demand for a talented performer. He performed on the stage of Olympia for several evenings in a row, causing delight in everyone.

The flip side of success

His popularity once "played a cruel joke on him." At a concert in Ajaccio in 1997, a madman shot him with a shotgun. Fortunately, the singer and his musicians were only slightly offended and everything worked out.

This was followed by a series of recordings of compositions for Florent Pagni and Johnny Holiday. He was already applauded by France and much of Europe.

In 1998, Pascal Obispo embarked on a grandiose project that involved artists from a variety of genres with their unique sound. And all the funds received from the sale of this project were sent to a specialized fund to combat AIDS. The public warmly and joyfully accepted this album, having sold out more than 700 thousand copies.

In 1999, the disc Soledad was released, at the same time the singer created musical compositions for the famous Patricia Kaas. In his album, Pascal tried to convey the pain of loneliness, the suffering from lost love and the feeling of his insignificance in the world.

After that, Pascal decided to write a musical called The Ten Commandments. It was then directed by the famous film director Eli Shuraki. Before the start of this musical, one single became a real "bomb" in the world of musical show business. It was a composition by L'envie D'aimer, sales instantly exceeded 1 million copies.

In early 2001, this talented and lively performer was awarded the NRJ Music Awards.

The popularity has only increased. And Obispo wrote the next album, Millesime, which contained live recordings from many months of touring. It contained both solo compositions and songs by Johnny Holiday, Sam Stoner, Florent Pagni and other musicians.

In the summer of 2002, the star recorded the track Live for Love United, recorded together with famous football players from around the world. All funds were transferred to the AIDS Fund.

Several more discs followed, many of the proceeds from which went to foundations and other charities. They took pride of place in the charts of France and Europe. And some songs were used as ringtones for mobile phones.

Pascal married in 2000 Isabella Funaro, who later gave birth to his son Sean. Interestingly, the boy was born during the last rehearsal of the grandiose musical Les dix commandments on a biblical theme.
