Back somersault is a popular team that was formed on the territory of Ukraine. The band members are united by their love for Jamaican music. Their tracks are "seasoned" with rap, funk and electronica.
In 2022, the former vocalist of "Salto Nadab" Sasha Tab took part in the recording of the track "Sonyachna" (the rapper Skofka and the group "Kalush" can be heard recitative on the verses). The vocalist of "Salto Nadab" diluted the "company" with his gorgeous vocals. "Sonyachna" is a real delight for the ears. Looking ahead, I would like to say that Tab has taken up a solo career.
The history of the creation of the team "Salto back"
The group was founded in 2011 in Kyiv. Talented Sasha Slobodyanik, Vanya Klimenko and Sergey Soroka are at the origins of the team.
As it should be for almost any group, the composition has changed several times. The musicians also survived the period of "stagnation". Until a certain time, the backbone of the team remained intact.
Alexander - took the place of frontman and vocalist. Vanya Klimenko - MC, author of musical works, ideologist of the whole project. Soroka - arranger, beatmaker, creative.
The latter left the project in 2016, and quite successfully began to promote his name, already as a solo artist. Back flips are associated with the names of Sasha Slobodyanik and Vanya Klimenko.
By the way, at first the musicians recorded in an ordinary Kyiv apartment. Interestingly, none of the residents of the house complained about extraneous noise.
The creative path of the Back Flip group
A couple of years after the creation of the group, the guys dropped the longplay "Tree". The musicians admitted that they had been working on their debut album for 2 whole years. 14 different sounding songs, none of which fell below a good level, were warmly received by music lovers.
The guys toured a lot. Interestingly, the geography of their performances practically did not go beyond the borders of their native Ukraine. Tracks "Back Flip" rocked the concert venues of large (and not so) Ukrainian cities. In the same 2014 they started mixing the second full-length LP.
In 2014, the album "Dim" was released. "Friends! We finally present you with our album. Lately, all we've been doing is working on it! And now we have the honor of sharing our second disc with you! Enjoy listening! We're waiting for your comments, reposts, opinions!" the band members addressed their fans. The video for the title song of the longplay premiered that same year.
Then came the "dark" streak - and the musicians were forced to take a short creative break. Only in 2016 after they returned to the stage with an updated line-up.
The artists told that they switched to Rookodill's label (Vanya Klimenko's label). In the same 2016, the musicians presented a bright video for the song "I Can't Know".
Participation of "Back Flip" in the national selection "Eurovision"
In 2017, "Back Flip" appeared before the Ukrainian audience. The musicians spoke about their desire to get to Eurovision. The guys became a real discovery of the first semi-final. Spectators and judges were delighted with the performance of the guys.
The track "Oh, Mamo" gave the musicians hope that they would go to Eurovision. The artists made it to the final. "The song "Oh, Mamo" is a note to myself about not forgetting the importance of family relationships," the musicians commented.
“The group turned the performance of the Ukrainian-language single into a b-boy battle, the highlight of which was the appearance of a 77-year-old breakdancer on stage,” writes the editor of The Flow.
Then luck was not on the side of the team, and from Ukraine went O. Torvald. The guys were not very upset, and said that they would soon please fans with the release of their third studio album.
The musicians did not disappoint the expectations of the fans and dropped the LP "Children". As it turned out, this is a farewell album. The artists noted that the collection was ready a few years ago.

The dissolution of the Back Flip group
Officially, the band ceased to exist several years ago. Then the participants of "Salto Nadab" went their own ways. The musicians managed to realize their ambitions as solo artists.
Vanya Klimenko works with a big team. What is the launch of the super-successful project alyona alyona, the promising Kalush team, which in 2022 were announced as participants in the Eurovision national selection, worth. He also launched Rookodill and his own music production.
In 2018, Vanya dropped the Rookodille EP. It is noteworthy that the recording of the collection was attended by Jamala, Suok, Anyanya Grace, LAUD, Very the Jerry and many more. In 2020, it became known about the opening of a joint label with rapper Alena Alena. The brainchild of artists was called "Enko".
