The Biggest Simple Number is one of the most popular indie rock bands in Russia. Progressive youth love the tracks of the guys, and they, in turn, have been delighting with cool work for more than 15 years.
Musicians love to experiment with sound, try themselves in different musical styles and creative manifestations. Actually, the desire to "know the music" allowed "SBHR" to acquire an impressive number of fans.
Reference: Indie rock is a genre of rock music that originated in America and Great Britain in the 70s of the last century. Initially, indie rock was used for independent record labels. The term later became associated with the music they produced and was originally used as a synonym for alternative rock or "guitar pop rock".
The history of the creation and composition of the group "The Biggest Simple Number"
Officially, the team was formed in 2006 on the territory of the cultural capital of Russia - St. Petersburg. The talented Kirill Ivanov and the duet "Christmas Toys" are at the origins of the "SBHR".
The name of the brainchild was invented by the frontman of the group - K. Ivanov. The artist pursued several goals. First, the transformation of the name. And, secondly, the use of a digital equivalent.
Initially, he suggested: "232 582 657 - 1" (this is the most famous prime number at that time). But, soon the information became irrelevant, and the name gradually lost its meaning and “sacred meaning”. Actually, then the musicians thought: why not just perform under the banner of "The Biggest Prime Number"? On that they agreed.
The highlight of the group was that the project participants did not use percussion musical instruments. In retaliation for this, they "seasoned" the songs with the rhythm of the melody and "delicious" recitative.
The team went through all the "circles of hell" before achieving the perfect sound. They began their journey with an orchestra of 17 performers. But, in the "zero" the number of the team was significantly reduced.
For this period of time (2021), the composition of the indie rock band looks like this: Stas Astakhov, Dima Kondrev, Oleg Zanin, Zhenya Borzykh. The permanent participant is Kirill Ivanov.
The creative path of the team "SBPC"
In 2006, the guys first appeared at one of the most popular Russian festivals "Invasion". By the way, Kirill performed together with the Christmas Tree Toys and the 2H COMPANY team. Music lovers warmly received the newcomers, which served as a green light for them to promote the nascent musical project.
But with the release of the LP, there were some difficulties. Only when the collection fell into the hands of Oleg Nesterov did the situation change dramatically. The producer helped the musicians record the album. The guys released a LP with the support of the Snegiri label. The album was positively received by music critics. By the way, during this period of time, the frontman of the group combined work in the "SBHR" with journalistic activities.
Modified in the "SBHR-Orchestra", the guys attracted several associations and recorded a collection of the same name. The group began to tour a lot, and soon the musicians released their third studio LP.
By this time, Cyril had already completely tied up with journalistic activities. Now he devoted his time to the development of the group as much as possible. In 2012, the discography of the indie rock band was replenished with a very cool new product. We are talking about the disc "Forest Oracle". Clips were filmed for some of the tracks.

A few years later, the “fans” enjoyed the sound of the collection “I think they didn’t invent a word for this” (with the participation of Igor Vdovin and Nadezhda Gritskevich). In general, the musicians tried to maintain a given pace, so almost every year the discography became richer by one collection. 2015 was no exception. This year the premiere of the disc "Here and Always" took place. The next few years were also marked by the release of studio albums.
In 2018, the guys pleased the fans with the release of a “delicious little thing” in the form of a disc “We didn’t sleep, we dreamed.” By the way, Zhenya Borzykh, several other little-known artists, as well as the Children's Choir took part in the recording of the disc. In support of the record, the musicians went on a lengthy tour.
In 2019, the premiere of the video "Youth" took place. The work was warmly received by teenagers, noting the aesthetics of the video. In the same year, the musicians presented a full-length album. The collection was called "Evil".
2020 has been a real challenge for artists. They had to cancel part of the planned concerts due to the coronavirus pandemic. The musicians focused on working in a recording studio, so in 2020 they presented the album “It's All the Same”.
Interesting facts about the SBPC group
- Edition of Time Out contributed the track "Live well!" included in the list of "100 songs that changed our lives."
- At one time, the team included Ilya Baramia, who today is known to fans as a member of the group "Aigel».
- The cover for "Gently" for the artists was drawn by Ghana Daniel Anum Jasper himself (he often drew posters for American films).

2021 has become a year of discovery and experimentation. Firstly, the musicians pleased with the release of clips for the tracks "Lost Mirror" and "It's All the Same". They gradually resumed concert activity. So, in early December 2021, the artists appeared in Kyiv. They performed on the Bel etage stage.
In addition, in the second half of the year, the guys talked about the launch of a new project. Fans were counting on the musicians to release an album, but the artists offered the "fans" a children's audio book, The Lost Mirror. The work received a lot of positive feedback.
