Sergey Mavrin is a musician, sound engineer, composer. He loves heavy metal and it is in this genre that he prefers to compose music. The musician gained recognition when he joined the Aria team. Today he works as part of his own musical project.
Childhood and youth
He was born on February 28, 1963 in Kazan. Sergey was brought up in the family of an investigator. Parents were not related to creativity. In the mid-75s, the family moved to the capital of Russia. The move was connected with the work of the head of the family.
At the age of ten, his parents gave their son his first musical instrument, a guitar. He adored its sound, picking out popular compositions of Soviet rock bands by ear.
Soon he was imbued with the sound of foreign rock bands. Impressed by the sound of electronic instruments, he converted the acoustic guitar into an electronic one.
From that moment on, he does not let go of the instrument, focusing on the works of foreign rock stars. After receiving a matriculation certificate, Sergey entered the vocational school as a fitter. In his student years, he was listed in the Melodiya team.
Sergey Mavrin: the creative path of a musician
He served in the army. When the seniors became aware that Mavrin was a storehouse of talents, he was transferred to a military band. In the team, the young man learned to play several musical instruments. It is also where he picks up a microphone for the first time. He covered the hits of Soviet rock bands.
Having repaid his debt to the Motherland, Sergey firmly decided that he wanted to become a musician. Soon he joined one of the most popular Soviet rock bands Black Coffee. In the mid-80s, along with the rest of the group, Mavrin went on the first large-scale tour that took place in the Soviet Union.
In 1986, he "put together" his own project. The brainchild of the rocker was called "Metal Chord". He was supported by the musician from "Black Coffee" Maxim Udalov. In general, the team had a chance for "life", but after a year and a half, Sergey disbanded the roster.
A year later, Mavrin received an offer to take part in the recording of the LP Hero of Asphalt by the Aria group. Together with Sergey, Udalov also joined the group. A little later, Mavrin took part in the recording of several more long-plays of the rock band.
A new page in Mavrin's creative biography began after he received an offer from a German producer to work on the Lion Heart project in the early 90s. Having recorded several musical compositions, he returned home.
Sergey Mavrin: work in "Aria"
Work in "Aria" gave the musician invaluable experience. He developed an individual style of playing the guitar.
The touch-style musician's special touch technique is called "mavring". Mavrin tried to buy guitars exclusively from foreign manufacturers.
In the mid-90s, not the best times came for all members of the team "Aria". Unsuccessful tours in Germany cost a lot - Kipelov left the group. Sergei left with the frontman of the rock band. Soon the musicians "put together" a new project, which was called "Back to the Future".
The repertoire of the newly minted band consisted of covers of popular foreign bands.
The project fell apart after six months. Kipelov chose to return to Aria, and Sergei decided not to return to the rock band. At this time, he recorded guitar parts for TSAR and went to work in the team of Dmitry Malikov.
Creation of the Mavrik group
At the end of the 90s, within the framework of the Kipelov and Mavrin project, the debut collection "Time of Troubles" was recorded. Some of the tracks on the disc ended up in the repertoire of the Mavrik band, which was assembled a year later.
The frontman of the newly-created project was Artur Berkut (the band "Autograph"). The first couple of longplays - "Skitalets" and "Neformat-1" - were released by the band members under the "Aria" label. This helped to warm up the interest of potential fans.
Albums and compositions of the group
Music lovers saw the third studio album, "Chemical Dream", at the beginning of the 2000s. In addition, the name of the group changed, and the name of the "father" of the group appeared on the cover - "Sergey Mavrin".
A couple of years later, Mavrin was again seen in collaboration with Kipelov. The musician tours with Valery's group, and also takes a direct part in the recording of the tracks "Babylon" and "Prophet".
In 2004, the discography of Mavrin's group was replenished with a fourth studio album. We are talking about the collection "Forbidden Reality". To this day, the presented collection is considered Sergey's best work. The record was headed by 11 tracks, and the compositions "While the Gods Are Sleeping", "Born to Live", "Road to Paradise", "Melting World" - have unofficially received the status of hits.
On the wave of popularity, he records another studio album. We are talking about the album "Revelation". In addition, in 2006, Mavrin went on tour with Aria. In 2007, the band presented the live album "Live" and the long play "Fortuna". The works are warmly received not only by fans, but also by music critics.
In 2010, the discography of Sergey Mavrin's group became richer by one more album. Fans enjoyed the sound of the tracks of the disc "My Freedom". Recall that this is the group's sixth studio album. Today, the sixth studio album is also considered one of the most worthy works of Mavrin.
A few years later, the presentation of the single "Illusion" took place. The track hinted at the imminent release of the seventh disc. Fans were not mistaken in the prediction. Soon the band's discography was replenished with the album "Confrontation". The collection turned out to be of interest because its sound is as close as possible to the genre of rock opera.
The next longplay "Inevitable" - fans saw only three years later. "Fans" from the presented compositions singled out the songs "Infinity of Roads" and "Guardian Angel". In general, the audience of the group warmly received the new release.
In 2017, Sergey Mavrin presented the album "White Sun". Longplay is interesting in that the parts of the vocalist and musician went to Sergei. To record the collection, Mavrina invited several musicians - a guitarist and a drummer.

Sergei Mavrin is a lucky man. The rocker managed to meet a woman who occupied the heart of a man. The musician's wife's name is Elena. They practically do not separate. There are no children in the family.
The musician tries to keep up with the times. He is registered in almost all social networks. Judging by the photos that appear on his page with enviable regularity, he is fresh and looks great.
In one of the interviews, Sergei complained that his lifestyle could not be called correct. He practically does not rest, and also loves cigarettes, drinks a lot of coffee, drinks alcohol, eats little and sleeps.
The only useful things he has left in his life are sports and vegetarianism. Sergey said that he has been working towards giving up food of animal origin for many years. He also does not use leather or fur items. Mavrin does not impose, but calls for respect for all living beings.
Sergey is a fan of tattoos. This is one of the most "downtrodden" rockers of the Russian rock party. He made the first tattoo on his shoulder, back in the 90s. Mavrin thought of an eagle on his shoulder.
He has a reverent attitude towards homeless animals. The rocker does charity work and transfers the lion's share of his own savings to organizations that help disadvantaged animals. Mavrin has a pet - a cat.

2021 was not left without new music. Sergey Mavrin and Vitaly Dubinin presented fans of their work with an unusual version of the already well-known track of the group "Aria" - "Hero of Asphalt".
In 2021, the Mavrina team will perform in several Russian cities. The first concerts will be held in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
