Slot is an alternative Russian group that emerged in early 2002. During its existence, the team managed to acquire more than one thousand loyal fans.
The group gained large-scale popularity after the presentation of a cover version for the song "Moon-Moon" (for the first time the composition was performed by Sofia Rotaru).
The discography of the musicians includes many full-length and mini-albums. The Slot group performed very often. Musicians are frequent guests of rock festivals. In addition, the guys still hold concerts for fans of their work.
History of creation and composition of the Slot group
The history of the birth of the team is associated with the name of the talented Igor Lobanov, who at the beginning of his creative career performed under the pseudonym Cash. In addition, the formation of the group is impossible to imagine without Sergei Bogolyubsky (ID) and Denis Khromykh (Dan).
The place of the drummer in the team was taken by Sergey Nazarchuk (Proff). Sergey stayed in the Slot group for several years, then he began performing in the Tracktor Bowling and ANACONDAZ groups.
The place of the vocalist was taken by the charming Teona Dolnikova. In 2003, the girl was replaced by Uliana IF Elina. However, Ulyana did not last long as a vocalist.
Soon the singer left the group, the reason was in disagreements and conflicts with other members of the team.
In 2004, the impossible happened - the Slot team was left by those who stood at the origins of the birth of the group. We are talking about Denis Khromykh and drummer Alexei Nazarchuk.
The place of the guitarist was taken by Mikhail Korolev, at that time the group recorded tracks with one bass player. Soon Kirill Kochanov joined the group.
In 2006, Korolev left the soloists of the group, and for the next few years Petrov played the bass guitar. The place of the vocalist was taken by Daria Stavrovich, who is known to the public and her fans as the singer Nuka.
In 2009, Petrov also left the team, Nikita Simonov was taken in his place, who lasted in the group for 5 years. The place of the bass player was taken by Nikita Muravyov, who, by the way, is still part of the rock band.
Kirill Kochanov dropped out of the band in 2015 and is replaced by talented drummer Vasily Gorshkov.
Creative way and music of the group
In 2003, the presentation of the debut album Slot 1 took place. The disc received mixed reviews. But, despite this, critics noted that the musicians have a clear potential.
2003 is associated not only with the release of the debut album, but also with the fact that during this period some soloists left the group, so the updated line-up began work on the second collection "2 Wars".
A year later, the album was re-recorded with the voice of a new vocalist. After the presentation of the second album, the musicians announced that the third Trinity album would be released soon.
In 2009, the discography of the Slot group was replenished with the fourth album 4ever. The recording of the collection was attended by: Dmitry Rishko, known from the group Dominia, the group "Korol i Shut", the former guitarist of "Aria" Sergey Mavrin. The album was produced by Kirill Nemolyaev.
A year later, the F5 disc was released. The soloists called the album anti-conceptual, richer and more layered, with references to various musical sources.
This album turned out to be gloomy, and even depressing, there are no lyrical and romantic songs in it.
In 2013, the discography of the Slot group was replenished with a new album, Sixth. Shortly before the presentation of the record, the musicians presented the composition "Angel or Demon".
As a result, the song became the soundtrack for the series, which was broadcast on the Russian TV channel STS. Some episodes of the series served as the music video for the song.
The second song of the album "Knee-Deep" was presented to fans in May 2013. In the musical composition, the guys touched on the topic of the conflict of generations. For the first time, soloists recorded a record through crowdfunding.
Soon the Russian rock band "Slot" took part in processing the musical material for the musical "All About Cinderella", as they decided to change the literary basis of the composition. Composer and conductor Raymond Pauls agreed.
Daria Stavrovich and Sergey Bogolyubsky released several compositions, and then also recorded a soundtrack for the musical. The play premiered in 2014.
Attack on Dasha Stavrovich
In the spring of 2014, an unpleasant event occurred in the group. The Slot group organized an autograph session in the cultural capital of Russia. Everything went nice. The musicians communicated with fans of their work, signed autographs.
Later, a man attacked the soloist of the Slot group and inflicted several wounds on her with a knife, right in the neck. He was arrested on the spot, and Dasha Stavrovich was urgently hospitalized.
The man shouted that Daria would not be able to live a day without him, and asked to be released from the pre-trial detention center. The soloist of the group lost a lot of blood.
Fans banded together and started donating blood to help Stavrovich recover. On the second day Dasha was already conscious. Two weeks later, the girl was discharged.
In 2016, the Russian rock band Slot presented their seventh studio album Septima. The singles of this album were the tracks "Circles on the Water", "Pink Glasses" and "Fear and Aggression".
In 2018, the group's discography was replenished with the album "On Mars". A little later, the guys recorded a thematic animated video clip for the song.
Soon, the musicians posted the musical composition "Cuckoo" on the network. The presentation of the new disk "200 kW" took place in the autumn of the same year.
The group "Slot" for less than 20 years of creative activity, proved to be a productive rock band. Interestingly, the group also accompanied the release of the new album with concerts, which were mainly held on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Group Slot: concert activity
The soloists of the Slot group are still frequent guests of music festivals. Today, musicians give concerts not only in their native country, but also in neighboring countries.
In the spring of 2019, the musicians presented a video clip for the title track of the new album "200 kW" and posted it on their YouTube channel.
And in July they became participants in the annual rock festival "Invasion".

In 2020, the group will go to concerts in St. Petersburg, Voronezh and Nizhny Novgorod. The poster of the group can be viewed on the official website.
At the end of winter 2021, the band's new LP premiered. The record was called "Survival Instinct". The collection consists of 11 musical compositions. Recall that this is the 9th collection of musicians. The album was being worked on in a home recording studio last year.
Group Slot today
The Slot team presented a video for the new musical composition Chernukha. Recall that the track was included in the new longplay of an alternative rock band. The video was prepared jointly with the public "Suffering Middle Ages".
In 2022, the Russian team released an authorized record of the best tracks. The collection was called “Two different XX. The Best". Recall that the release is dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of the team. The album was topped by 20 different sounding songs.
Also, for its anniversary, the team launched a crowdfunding project, the funds from which will go, including the publication of the collection “Two different XX. The Best" on physical media by the M2BA label. On February 12, 2022, the band's anniversary concerts took place in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
