Svetlana Skachko is a famous Soviet singer and member of the Verasy vocal and instrumental group. For a long time there was no news about the star. Alas, the tragic death of the artist made the media remember the creative achievements of the singer. Childhood and youth of Svetlana Skachko
The artist's date of birth is January 19, 1959. She was born in the small village of Gorodeya, Nesvizh district, Minsk region. Already being a famous singer, Svetlana spoke flatteringly about the place where her childhood passed. She adored the beauty of Gorodeya, even despite the fact that the village was very small and inconspicuous.
She was brought up in a large family. It is also known that Svetlana was raised by her grandparents. What exactly was the fact that the upbringing of the girl fell on the shoulders of the older generation - the journalists could not find out. Skachko was reluctant to talk about her family.
The girl attended a regular secondary school in her village. It is not difficult to guess that the main hobby of her childhood was music. After graduating from high school, the girl entered the Novopolotsk State Musical College.
As a student at a music school, Svetlana shows her creative potential to the maximum. She does not miss the opportunity to perform on stage. During this period of time, Skachko's repertoire mainly consists of folk compositions, ballads, romances.
Svetlana Skachko: a creative path
After receiving a specialized education, she became a member of the Enchantress team. The vocal and instrumental ensemble was founded in the early 70s of the last century on the basis of the Grodno house of culture of textile workers. We would like to note that for some time Skachko was listed as a member of the Belarusian State Philharmonic.
The repertoire of the Enchantress group included the author's works by Igor Luchinok. For some time, the vocalists performed covers of works by Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson.
There was enough jump everywhere. She never sat still, and tried to prove herself. In her free time, she sang in restaurants. The local audience was fascinated by the performance of the Belarusian "nightingale".

Once her performance was watched by the head of the Verasa team, Vasily Rainchik. She was doubly lucky, because at that time Lyucina Shemetkova (a member of the group) went on maternity leave. Skachko came to the vacant place. Together with Nadya Daineko, Svetlana presented one of the most popular Verasa compositions, Robin, at the Song-80 fest.
In the mid-80s, Svetlana Skachko made a difficult decision for herself. She left the vocal and instrumental ensemble. Skachko moved to Leningrad at the time, and then to Sosnovy Bor.
According to the artist, during this period of time she received an offer from the conductor Alexander Mikhailov to become part of his team. Then the young Skachko did not dare to move to the capital of Russia, and a year later the conductor died. She was very sorry for her indecision.
For some time she was listed as part of the Red Forts group. Skachko took the place of screenwriter and director. She ran a choreographic studio, wrote scripts, and was the artistic director of several folk song ensembles.
At the end of the 80s of the last century, the singer created a project that can really be called successful. We are talking about the choir "Veteran". The group has repeatedly become the laureate of regional and Russian festivals. Their work was watched by thousands of caring fans.
The singer did not forget about herself. So, Svetlana continued to perform as a solo artist. Her repertoire included romances, folk, pop and military songs. She respected the work of Elena Vaenga.

Moving to Sosnovy Bor also made Skachko happy as a woman. It was here that the artist met true love. Konstantin Kasparov was a huge admirer of Svetlana. He never missed a single concert. The man courted her for a long time and beautifully, and then made a marriage proposal.
The marriage of Svetlana and Konstantin was like a fairy tale. They doted on each other. They lived in peace and harmony for 10 years. Alas, the union was cut short by the tragic death of a man. He was hit by a vehicle.
Svetlana no longer married officially. A few years later she met a new man. They became Igor Vorobyov. He introduced her to the campaigns. Alas, then she did not yet know that it was the passion for hiking that would deprive her of her life.
Death of Svetlana Skachko
At the end of the summer of 2021, the common-law spouses went on a hike. This time they decided to visit North Ossetia. Igor and Svetlana pitched a tent near the Kazbek River. The couple ignored the rules - they did not tell the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations their geolocation.
Mudflow (a rapid channel stream, consisting of a mixture of water and rock fragments, suddenly arising in the basins of small mountain rivers) caused the tragic death of Svetlana Skachko. The mudflow was caused by heavy rains. Her common-law husband managed to escape. The woman's body was found only a week later. In November 2021, experts identified the deceased woman and officially confirmed that she was Svetlana. Her ashes were buried near the graves of her parents.
“I often scroll in my head what I should have done. This is not a mountain hike. We have become in that place by the will of fate. Svetlana insisted that we stop at this place. There was a strong wind. We were very wet. I did not resist, although there were several more sites nearby. More reliable overnight stays, ”Skachko's common-law husband commented on the tragic event.
