Twocolors is a famous German musical duo, whose members are DJ and actor Emil Reinke and Piero Pappazio. The founder and ideological inspirer of the group is Emil. The group records and releases electronic dance music and is very popular in Europe, mainly in the homeland of the members - in Germany.
Emil Reinke - the story of the founder of the team
In fact, when they talk about the duet Twocolors, they mean exactly Emil. He is considered the main one in the group, while almost nothing is known about Piero Pappazio.
From birth, Emil had all the prerequisites to become a musician. First, the love of music. Here you can very easily answer the question of who instilled it. The fact is that Emil's father is the notorious Paul Landers, the bass player of the legendary band Rammstein.
From a young age, his father influenced the alternative music in Germany, participating in various famous rock bands. Therefore, Emil could easily adopt the dream of becoming a famous musician from his father. But the guy chose a completely different musical style.
The future artist was born on June 20, 1990 in Berlin. Even during his youth, the boy's parents divorced. The child grew up as an inquisitive boy and loved creativity in all its manifestations - from playing musical instruments to acting.
Emil started his career as an actor and at a very early age. The first role was played by a boy back in 2001, when he was only 11 years old. The name of the series in which little Emil can be seen is "Criminal Crossword". The shooting went very well and caused genuine delight in the child. However, for a long time the boy no longer participated in the filming process. The next role was received by him only after 5 years, in 2006.
Acting vocation of the artist
It is also interesting that until 2014, the future founder of the musical group had a goal of becoming an actor. To some extent, it was fulfilled, since for a long time he was known precisely as an actor. Already in 2006, Reinke got the lead role in the film Turkish for Beginners. The film was very popular, and with it the aspiring actor. For this role, he even received a prestigious German film award.
Basically, the young man got roles in the series. I was glad that these were not the roles of the second plan, but almost always the main ones. One example of such work was the series "Max Minsky and Me", filmed in 2007. Participation in the film secured his status as an actor. And Reinke became an authority in the acting environment. After that, the future musician began to attend various TV shows, give interviews and receive invitations to participate in new TV shows.
From blue screens to music
By 2010, Emil's productivity in this area had plummeted. In 2011, he took part in the filming of only one film. The last was "Six of us will go around the whole world", filmed in 2014. After that, the young man decided to leave his film career.
Perhaps the young man realized that he did not want to do this, or maybe he lacked interesting roles. From that moment on, he firmly decided to take up music. Nevertheless, in the film industry, he managed to leave a very noticeable mark, having played in 11 films (main and minor roles) and taking part in episodes of 5 TV series.
In 2011, he even tried himself as a director and producer, making a short horror film called The Human Garden. Since it was a short film, it was not released, but was well received by the public on the Internet.
A small role that today should be called the final one is the character of Pascal Weller in the movie Crime Scene Investigation (2017). After him, Emil had no plans for filming.
The musical formation of the group Twocolors
After Reinke stopped being a film actor, he decided what to do next. At that moment, his father's love for music was transferred to him. The young man decided to start from scratch and try his hand in this direction.
Piero Pappazio appeared in Emil's life in 2014. The guys quickly agreed on interests and genre preferences, which led to the creation of a duet this year. The first tryouts and studio sessions began. After several attempts, they decided to write tracks in the style of electronic dance music, which is still very popular in Germany.
A good start to the musical career of the duo Twocolors
2014 was a kind of experiment for Twocolors. They were looking for their own style, experimenting and collaborating with different producers. In 2015, the group kicked off with the release of their first single, Follow You. I must say that almost a year of expectations and preparations were not in vain.
The song immediately became famous in Germany and was liked by all connoisseurs of electronics. This allowed Reinke to gradually move away from associations with him as an actor, with whom the young man had to really fight - he was very much remembered by the viewer.
The second "swallow" from the future release - the single "Places" was released immediately along with the video clip. Both the video and the song were well received by the public - both listeners and critics. The beginning group received an excellent platform for further creativity. Both songs were highly appreciated by the public, which gave a chance that the debut album would be well received.
However, Emil and Pierrot chose a different path. They decided to be remembered as a single group, that is, a team that does not record albums, but only prepares singles, from time to time making compilations out of them.
Taking advantage of the moment, the guys began to quickly record new songs. By 2016, they had accumulated a lot of material, which they released little by little. So, in 2016 a number of compositions were released. They did not hit the charts, but on the Internet, the work of musicians became popular very quickly.
For 2020 they have about 22 songs. Periodically, the duo shoots video clips and invites various European singers and DJs to participate. Among the releases, the Remixes collection stood out very much, the songs from which fell into rotation on several radio stations in Berlin.
