Didula is a popular Belarusian guitar virtuoso, composer and producer of his own work. The musician became the founder of the group "DiDuLya".
Childhood and youth of the guitarist
Valery Didyulya was born on January 24, 1970 on the territory of Belarus in the small town of Grodno. The boy received his first musical instrument at the age of 5. This helped to reveal Valery's creative potential.
In Grodny, where Didula spent his childhood, young people entertained themselves by playing songs on the guitar. The work of foreign rock performers had a significant influence on the musician.
Didula taught himself to play the guitar. But soon the young man got tired of the classic game. He started experimenting. The guy used special sensors, amplifiers, which he made himself, thanks to which the singer improved the sound of musical compositions.
During his school years, Valery earned money by teaching guitar lessons. Even then, the parents realized that Didula would definitely be engaged in creativity.
The creative path of Valery Diduli
Valery admits that music interested him from the first chords. Didula attended local concerts with his friends, thanks to which the young man developed a musical taste.
Then Valery became part of the popular Belarusian ensemble Scarlet Dawns. The team performed at city holidays, in the House of Culture and local clubs. Didulya earned his first serious money by singing in a restaurant and at corporate parties.
The singer felt comfortable in the ensemble. But soon the group broke up. Valery was not taken aback and became part of the White Dew ensemble. In the group, he was the sound engineer.
Didula says that the position had a significant impact on his work. The musician has an understanding of what the audience and music lovers want. With the ensemble, he toured almost all over the world. On tour in Spain, the musician got acquainted with the new flamenco style.
Until that moment, Valery was not familiar with the peculiarities of the sound of Spanish music. The ensemble spent a lot of time in Spain. Didula even took part in several street music projects.
Working in a team "pushed" Valery to creative experiments. Diduli had a technical base that allowed him to record musical compositions. Together with Dmitry Kurakulov, the musician went to conquer television.
Moving artist DiDuLya to Moscow
Didula successfully passed the qualifying round. Valery's experience allowed him to move on to the next stage without significant difficulties and take part in the gala concert.
The work of the sound engineer was behind. This position no longer pleased Didula. At the same time, the famous pianist Igor Bruskin invited Valery to move to the capital of Belarus.
In Minsk, a man got a job as a salesman in a music store. Nevertheless, he was further interested in music. He visited Moscow, went to recording studios and gained knowledge.
Soon Didula became a participant in the Slavianski Bazaar music festival, thanks to which Valery became recognizable in Poland, the Baltic states, Bulgaria and the CIS countries.
This period became a new stage in the life of Didula. The musician tried to bring something new and original to his work. He combined electronic and folk music.
The performer moved to Moscow. For a man, moving to another country was very difficult. He did not pass the adaptation and began to pack his bags to return to Belarus.
If not for Sergey Kulishenko, then Didula would have given up. The man helped Valery create a professional recording studio. The musician recorded 8 tracks. Soon, together with Sergei Didula, he created a home recording studio.
Then the musician met Sergei Migachev. Soon Sergey helped Valery to record his debut album Isadora. A little later, a video clip was released for one of the compositions of the collection.
Didula was popular. But, despite this, none of the prestigious labels offered the musician cooperation. Valery had no choice but to continue working on replenishing the repertoire. Soon the record company Global Music offered the musician to sign a contract. It cannot be said that this event greatly influenced the guitarist's career.
In 2006, the musician presented his fifth album, Colored Dreams. This is the first disc that music lovers liked. The highlight of the album are energetic and cheerful songs. Didula did not stop there and continued to expand his repertoire with new songs.
Signing with Nox Music label
Soon fate brought Didula together with Timur Salikhov. Since then, men have been inseparable. Timur took the position of director of the performer. Salikhov advised Valery to break the contract with Global Music. The musician signed a contract with the recording studio Nox Music.
After signing the contract, the musician began filming a video clip with the participation of the Todes ballet. The popularity of the musician gradually increased. He had new creative ideas, which Didula successfully implemented in the new collection "Road to Baghdad". The pearl of the disc was the song "Satin Coast". Singer Dmitry Malikov participated in the recording of the track.
In 2011, Valery performed his show in the Kremlin. A few years later, the performer with his program "Time heals" appeared in sunny Jurmala. Fans warmly welcomed their idol.
DiDula's attempt to take part in Eurovision
Three years later, Valery and Max Lawrence in a duet applied for participation in the Eurovision music contest from Belarus. The musicians prepared a bright number that surprised the jury members. It is known that the text to the musical composition for the duet was written by the musician of the group Deep Purple. In addition to performers, dancers participated in the performance. The choreography included elements of sign language translation.
The duo managed to win the hearts of the audience with their performance. But the jury saw another singer Theo in the final. The musicians did not agree with the jury's opinion, they even sent a letter to Lukashenka. But their attempts to “break through” to the Eurovision Song Contest did not.
If we talk about the top compositions of Diduli's repertoire, then the most memorable tracks were the songs: "The Way Home", "Flight to Mercury".
In 2016, the musician's discography was replenished with the collection "Music of Unmade Films". A year later, the musician presented the album "Aquamarine". Music critics noted that Didula does not stop experimenting with sound. Around that time, the musician presented the "golden" collection of hits. Interestingly, the collection includes songs that were selected by the fans themselves.
A few years later, Diduli's concert "Dear Six Strings" took place. The performance of the artist was broadcast on the OTR TV channel. The musician demonstrated guitar passages accompanied by a vocal and instrumental ensemble.
At the end of 2019, Valery took part on the air of the NTV channel in the program “Kvartirnik at Margulis”. The musician shared interesting stories from his personal and creative life. In addition, he performed several musical compositions. In the same 2019, Diduli's discography was replenished with a new album, The Seventh Sense.
Personal life of Valery Diduli
The personal life of Valery Diduli is not without scandals. The guitarist was married to a girl named Layla. A son was born in the family. In addition, Valery raised his wife's daughter from his first marriage. A few years after the marriage, the couple divorced. The man does not maintain a relationship with his son.
Leila came to the program “We Speak and Show” to tell viewers and fans about what Valery really is. As it turned out, the man does not pay child support and does not participate in the life of his son.
Due to the fact that the ex-husband does not act in the right way, Leila, along with her children, is forced to live in a rented apartment. The total debt amounted to more than 2 million rubles.
Valery's lawyer said that the man has no alimony arrears. In addition, he drew attention to the fact that Didula timely deposits money into the account of his ex-wife. If possible, give a little more.

Today Didula continues to tour actively. True, in 2020 a number of concerts had to be postponed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
In January 2020, Didula became the main character of the When Everyone is Home program. The musician gave a detailed interview to Timur Kizyakov. Valery met the guests with his wife Evgenia and daughter Arina.
In the same 2020, Didula took part in the Evening Urgant program. A man first came to a comedy show. He talked about how he started his career and what it cost him to move to Moscow.

At the end of April 2021, musician and singer V. Didula presented a new LP. The collection received the symbolic title "2021". The record was topped by 12 tracks.
The LP will be presented at Crocus City Hall on April 20. In support of the album Didula go on a tour of the cities of Russia.
