Wolf Alice is a British band whose musicians play alternative rock. After the release of the debut collection, the rockers managed to get into the hearts of a multimillion-strong army of fans, but also into the American charts.
Initially, the rockers played pop music with a folk tinge, but over time they took a rock reference, making the sound of musical works heavier. The band members say the following about their tracks:

The history of the founding and composition of Wolf Alice
"Wolf Alice" appeared as a solo project by Ellie Rowsell in 2010. In the future, several more guys who are not indifferent to music joined the team - Joel Amey, Geoff Oddy and Theo Alice.
So, the leader of the team is the charming Ellie Rowsell. Behind her shoulders - the end of one of the most prestigious schools for girls in the city of London. The main hobby of Ellie's youthful years was playing the guitar, as well as composing musical works.
Ellie visibly lacked experience and self-confidence. Initially, she wanted to join some team, but her acquaintances persuaded her to try herself in a solo “musical voyage”. From the age of 18, the artist began to make her way to the musical Olympus, but she realized that the desire to “put together” her own project was a much more profitable idea.
The talented Ellie found a soul mate in Geoff Oddie. Several rehearsals showed that the guys get along well and are on the same wavelength. Young people began to perform as a duet.
In 2010, the composition expanded to a quartet. Then the guys began to perform under the creative pseudonym "Wolf Alice". Rowsell took Sadie Cleary to the team, and Oddie took his comrade George Barlett.
A couple of years later, the composition changed again. The fact is that Barlett was seriously injured, which was incompatible with performances and rehearsals. Soon his place was taken by D. Amey. Cleary was replaced by Theo Ellis.
The creative path of the team "Wolf Alice"
The team gained its first portion of popularity since the release of the musical work Leaving You. The composition got into the rotation of BBC Radio 1, and was highly appreciated by the journalists of the local edition in the section dedicated to promising singers.
Such a warm welcome motivated the guys to organize a tour. Together with the Peace team, the artists held a series of incendiary concerts. The tour greatly expanded the fan base.
In 2013, the musicians presented their first official single. We are talking about Fluffy, which was recorded on the Chess Club label. The same year saw the release of the second single Bros. The artists recorded the single on the same label. Bros is one of the first tracks by Rowsell. In support of the singles, the musicians went on tour again.
In the wake of popularity, the premiere of the debut mini-album took place. The record was called Blush. The musicians released bright clips for several tracks.
2014 was marked by the signing of a contract with Dirty Hit Records. In May of the same year, the team's discography was replenished with a Creature Songs EP. At the end of the year they received the UK Festival Awards.
Debut album release
After such a bright entry on the big stage, the fans expected the immediate release of the album from the idols. In 2015, the guys gathered their strength and recorded their debut studio album. The album My Love Is Cool was produced by Mike Crossey. The album was warmly welcomed by fans of heavy music.
The LP reached number two in the UK charts and was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Since then, the band's popularity has grown relentlessly, from opening tours for the Foo Fighters to their own world tours.
In 2017, the group's discography was replenished with another LP. We are talking about the album Visions of a life. Such a bright entry into the heavy scene was followed by an awkward pause, 4 years long.
Wolf Alice: present day
In 2020, the first mention of the release of the third studio album appeared. Despite the news, the artists were in no hurry to reveal all the secrets. Typos on the situation with the release of the collection were also imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.
At the stage of work on a new disc, the guys turned to Markus Drevs for help, who had previously brought to mind similar ambitions with popular rock bands. Due to the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the rockers had plenty of time for self-improvement: stuck in a recording studio, Wolf Alice polished seemingly finished tracks for a long time, bringing the songs to perfection.
On June 4, 2021, the premiere of the team's third studio album took place. It's about the Blue Weekend record. The album received positive reviews from music experts and topped the UK National Albums Chart. An appeal to the "fans" was posted on the official website:
“We put all our hearts into this LP… It's great to hear that you're enjoying the new songs. Thank you endlessly for all your kind words and all your support. Love you…"
In 2021, Jim Beam launched the Welcome Sessions campaign. According to the rules of the campaign, the artists return to the small venues from which it all began - and a video is made about their performances. Wolf Alice took part in the new release.
The Jim Beam Welcome Sessions will give viewers the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the artists' performances, as well as visit the pubs, clubs and concert venues where idols once performed.
In addition, in 2021, Wolf Alice will “roll back” a tour of the territory of their native country, as well as America. In 2022, the guys will continue to tour the UK, Ireland, France, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Slovakia.
