Yolka is the creative pseudonym of the singer. The real name of the performer sounds like Elizaveta Ivantsiv. The future star was born on July 2, 1982 in the small town of Uzhgorod, on the territory of Ukraine.
It is interesting that Lisa was surrounded by creative people. For example, my mother played several musical instruments at once. The father of the future star collected jazz records. And grandparents were engaged in vocals. The time came and little Lisa was sent to a vocal circle (at the Court of Pioneers), where she began to learn to sing.

Ivantsiva's parents were wealthy, so they often attended all kinds of musical performances that took place in Uzhgorod. “I loved attending concerts of local stars. I admired Ukrainian songs and always looked forward to the performance,” recalls Elizaveta.
As a teenager, Elizabeth was fond of musical compositions in the style of soul and rap. Liza Ivantsiva was never too lazy to learn something new about music, and not just listen to it. So, she started performing during her school years. Lisa was a member of KVN. Then she became famous and she had the first "fans".
After Lisa received her secondary education, she entered the College of Music. Elizabeth successfully passed the exam, entered the school and studied there for 6 months. Later, Lisa admitted: “I didn’t have a relationship with the teachers, so I didn’t wait until they kicked me out, but left on my own.”
While studying at the school, Yolka began to experiment with her appearance. She loved to be the center of attention. She had bright makeup, short hair and urban style of clothing. In addition to a beautiful voice, the appearance of the girl has always attracted attention.
It's time to make a decision and enter adulthood. The girl had a punchy character, so her parents had no doubt that the girl would achieve her goals.
The beginning of the musical career of Elizaveta Ivantsiv
Musical career began in 1990. It was in this year that Elizabeth became a member of the B&B musical group. The group failed to gain popularity in Ukraine. But Russian music lovers very warmly accepted the work of the B&B group.
Despite the fact that the team did not receive proper payment for their work, they continued to work and record tracks. Everything changed for Lisa when the group visited the Rap Music festival, where they were able to win a prize.
The performance was attended by Vladislav Valov, who was delighted with the performances of the young team. In 2001, there were no offers from Vlad.
But he contacted Lisa three years later and offered her cooperation. By 2004, Lisa had already left the group and dreamed of a solo career.
«I couldn't believe my ears when Valov called me. I asked him again: “Is this a joke or not?”. And only after I received a ticket and some money, I realized that it was time to leave for Moscow, ”Yolka recalls.
The Christmas tree has arrived in Russia. She was invited to a concert dedicated to the memory of Micah, where she performed one of the most popular tracks Micah "Bitch love."
Then she took part in the Megahouse festival. She was very worried that the public would perceive her coldly. But despite this, the performance was successful.
The history of the pseudonym Yolka
After the mini-performances, Vladislav Valov offered to sign Lisa a contract. And she agreed. Then she chose the creative pseudonym Yolka.
According to Lisa, she had this nickname while still at school. She loved short haircuts, so friends and relatives called her Yolka.
In the fall of 2005, the first debut album of the performer "City of Deception" was released. Most of the songs were written for the singer Vlad Valov. In the debut disc, you can find tracks recorded in various musical genres, ranging from hip-hop to reggae. Music critics rated the first disc very positively, and even nominated for the Best Rap award.
"Student Girl" is the next single that made Yolka popular.
In 2006, the track literally “blew up” local radio stations. And it's easier to find music lovers who didn't have this track on their phone than those who did.
In the same 2006, the second disc "Shadows" was released. Unfortunately, it was not successful (commercially). However, he replenished the singer's repertoire with worthy tracks.
As in the first disc, most of the tracks belonged to Yolka's producer, Vlad.

The singer presented her third album "This Magnificent World" in 2008. Music critics noted that the style of presentation of musical compositions has changed a lot. The songs exuded positivity, warmth, light and peace.

In 2008, the singer decided to terminate the contract with Valov. “I wanted to experiment. I wanted to go beyond the horizons, ”admitted Yolka.
She left the old producer. During that period of time, she collaborated with various producers, including the Meladze brothers. The decision of Yolka was influenced by the opinion of Alla Pugacheva. She advised her to expand her own boundaries and enter the big stage.
In 2011, the singer signed a contract with Velvet Music. Then another album, "The Points Are Placed", was released. The tracks that were collected on the disc were distinguished by a soft sound, close to pop music.
The most popular compositions of the new album were the tracks "Provence" and "Near you". Thanks to these songs, the singer received many awards. In 2011, she was seen in a duet with Pasha Volya. The track "On a big balloon" took the 1st position in the local chart for more than two months.
This period attracted not only experiments with music. For the first time in a long time, Yolka began to perform large-scale concerts on the territory of Ukraine and Russia. Tickets for the singer's performances were sold out to the last.
The next compilation album was released in 2014, immediately after participating in the Ukrainian show "X-factor". This disc includes popular compositions of past albums, which have acquired an unusual sound. In addition, the singer recorded a new track "You know".
