Alexander Fateev, better known as Danko, was born on March 20, 1969 in Moscow. His mother worked as a vocal teacher, so the boy learned to sing from an early age. At the age of 5, Sasha was already a soloist in a children's choir.

At one of these evenings, producer Leonid Gudkin met the singer, who offered his services to the young man. Leonid came up with a creative pseudonym Danko and made the song "Moscow Night" a real hit.
The best creative time for Danko was the early 2000s. The singer was in great demand and held two concerts a day. In addition to his main hit, he delighted the audience with songs such as "Baby" and "The First Snow of December."
Thanks to the popularity of the musician, he became the face of such popular global brands as Hugo Boss and Diesel.
The peak of Danko's popularity was passed in 2004. The musician released several records, but the new songs did not surpass the previous hits.
Even the best-of album and the subsequent "Album No. 5", released in 2010, were not commercially successful. The singer did not despair and re-asserted himself in 2013 with the disc "Point of No Return".
