The guys worked in the genre of alternative punk rock. In their compositions, the musicians touch on various topics - from personal to acute social, and even political. Although the frontman of the Yorsh group frankly says that politics is "dirt". But sometimes it's good to sing about such serious topics.

The history of the creation and composition of the Yorsh team

The band officially appeared on the heavy music scene in 2006. But, as happens with almost all bands, it all started much earlier. In the early 2000s, Mikhail Kandrakhin and Dmitry Sokolov (two guys from Podolsk) played as part of a school rock band. The guys were very good at this lesson, so after receiving a certificate they created their own project.

The first rehearsals were held at home. Then Mikhail and Dmitry moved to the House of Culture of their native city. Gradually, the duo began to expand. For obvious reasons, the musicians did not stay long in the Yorsh group.

This project was originally non-commercial. But the guys managed to accurately determine the musical genre. They chose punk rock, focusing on foreign colleagues. Then the musicians approved the name of their offspring, calling the group "Yorsh".

Then another member joined the group. We are talking about Denis Oleinik. In the team, a new member took the place of the vocalist. Denis had excellent vocal abilities, but soon the singer was forced to leave the group. It's all about personal differences. Soon his place was taken by frontman Dmitry Sokolov.

The one who stood at the origins of the rock band left it in 2009. Mikhail Kandrakhin considered that Yorsh was an unpromising project. The place of the musician was empty for a short time. Soon a new bass player, Denis Shtolin, joined the group.

Until 2020, the composition changed several times. Today the Yorsh team consists of the following members:

  • vocalist Dmitry Sokolov;
  • drummer Alexander Isaev;
  • guitarist Andrei Bukalo;
  • guitarist Nikolai Gulyaev.

The creative path of the Yorsh group

After the formation of the line-up, the team began recording their debut LP. Album "No Gods!" was presented to fans of heavy music in 2006.

Despite the fact that the Yorsh group was new at the time of the presentation of the debut album, the disc was warmly received by music lovers. Thanks to the warm welcome, concerts were organized in large and small cities of the Russian Federation.

A few years later, the discography of the Yorsh group was replenished with the album Louder? By the time the collection was released, the musicians had signed a contract with the major recording studio "Mystery of Sound".

After the presentation of the second studio album, the Yorsh group went on tour. Literally in a year, the musicians traveled to 50 Russian cities. Then the musicians took part in the Punk Rock Open Fest!. They performed as the opening act for the group.King and Jester».

Pause and return of the group

After Sokolov left the project in 2010, the team stopped touring. The group disappeared for a while. The silence was broken by an album released in 2011. The presentation of the record was followed by tours and exhausting work in the recording studio. By that time, Sokolov again joined the group.

For the next few years, the Yorsh group performed at the largest venues in St. Petersburg and the capital of Russia. Thousands of fans were interested in the creativity of the musicians. This gave the right to regularly release LPs. The guys presented the disc "Lessons of Hate" to the public. Several tracks got into the rotation of major radio stations.

Despite the fact that in 2014 the band's discography included more than one album, the musicians did not shoot video clips. In 2014, this situation changed, and the musicians did not invest in the filming of commercials. The money was raised by “fans” thanks to crowdfunding. After filming, the musicians gave about 60 concerts, appeared at festivals and radio stations.

The musicians were very productive. Between 2015 and 2017 The discography of the Yorsh group has been replenished with three records:

  • "Shackles of the world";
  • "Hold on";
  • "Through the Darkness"

Of the three records, the LP "Shackles of the World" deserves considerable attention. It not only became the best-selling, but also topped all sorts of alternative music charts. After the release of the collection, the musicians went on tour in Russia and Ukraine for two years.

Yorsh team at present

2019 was not without musical novelties. This year, the presentation of the disc “#Netputinazad” took place. The musicians filmed a video clip for the first song.

It is interesting that this longplay, like the track "God, bury the Tsar", was perceived by the public as an anti-Putin work. At the moment when the record reached the peak of popularity, the group's concerts began to be canceled. The guys' accounts on social networks were blocked for obvious reasons.
