Cobain Jackets is a musical project by Alexander Uman. The presentation of the team took place in 2018. The highlight of the team was that its members do not adhere to any musical framework and work in different genres. The invited participants are representatives of different genres, so the band's discography is replenished with "assorted tracks" from time to time.
It is not difficult to guess that the group was named after the leader of the Nirvana group. Uman never hid his respect for Kurt Cobain. Thus, he decided to perpetuate the memory of the brilliant singer and musician.
Composition of the project "Cobain Jackets"
Uman initially created an exclusively studio project. But, something went wrong when the guys appeared at the prestigious Victoria Music Awards. Then, besides Alexander himself, the future representative of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, Manizha and Leonid Agutin, appeared on the stage. The trio presented the audience with the musical composition "People on Escalators".
The following year, the guys decided to expand the concert line-up. Thus, in the team, in addition to Manizhi, Shura Bi-2 и Leonid Agutin, included:

Uman first thought about creating a brainchild during the recording of the studio LP of the Bi-2 group. The artist comments:
“After Lyova and I finished work on the Event Horizon album, I proposed putting together an experimental musical project. If you dig deeper, then Lyova and I have long been thinking about creating a group that does not look like the main brainchild. Actually, this is how the idea of creating a super-collective arose, the musical compositions for which will be composed by different authors ... ".
Creative way and music of the group
In 2018, Diana Arbenina composed the composition "Hunting Grasshoppers" for the band. Usachev and Uman worked on the arrangement. The work was warmly received not only by fans, but also by music critics. We can confidently say that the debut of the "Cobain Jacket" was grandiose.
On the wave of popularity, the musicians sat down in a recording studio to record their second single. In the same year, the premiere of the track "DNA Threads" took place. Note that the promising singer Monetochka took part in the recording of the composition. The track for the band was written by Oleg Chekhov.
The presentation of the third track took place in November. We are talking about the composition "Prayers of the Dead". The composition for the team was composed by the brilliant Mikhail Karasyov. He already had an impressive experience of cooperation with “Bi-2"and the project guys Odd Warrior
2019 did not remain without musical novelties. The musicians pleased the fans of their work with the release of the song "Exercises in Balance". The main vocal parts went to Sevidov and Manizhe. The author of the track was the same Oleg Chekhov.
Presentation of the band's debut album
In 2019, the members of The Cobain Jacket hinted at the imminent release of a full-length studio LP. The guys did not disappoint the expectations of the "fans". The release of the studio album took place at the beginning of the last summer month.
The plate received the same name. The collection is topped by 9 incredibly powerful tracks and a couple of remixes. The recording of the disc was carried out at the recording studio "Parametrica".
In November of the same 2019, the premiere of a new video took place. We are talking about the video "Snake". The musicians assigned the main role to the talented dancer Lal Tessarini. The clip was directed by Tanya Ivanova.
A year later, the artists presented another clip. He received the name No order. Interestingly, the video was filmed in several different cities: the capital of Russia and France, New York and Los Angeles. Even more interesting information was that the work on the clip lasted a little less than a year.
In July 2020, the supergroup performed online. The first appearance on the stage of the concert members of the band made a proper impression on the audience. True, the audience expressed the opinion that it would be much more interesting to watch the artists live.
In 2020, the musicians presented a new piece of music. We are talking about the track "People on the escalators". Agutin and Manizha took part in the recording of the song. Note that a clip was also released for the composition, directed by Igor Shmelev.
The Cobain Jackets: Today
In 2021, the Alexander Uman project launched the KK_Cover contest. Participants of this event need to make a dance version of one of the four proposed tracks "Cobain Jacket". The winner will receive a cash prize.
